-love the customizable lists -love the cheering -love the report card sometimes deleting takes a few tries I'm glad you didn't make an angry sound when my son gets it wrong but the ding is misleading. perhaps a uh-oo or similar this is a great app for great price... go for it!

We homeschool so this is quite a nice addition to the repertoire. No problems with the record feature (very clear) but most word pronunciations are found online.
Really like this, BUT there is no capitalization

Days of the week, month and country names are actually mispelled with no initial capital letter. The iPhone dictionary tries to insert the correct spelling, but the application changes it. Very handy app to help my son study.
Very good app but needs transfer capability

Using this app for spelling bee. We have several iPhones and iPod touches in the household. Would appreciate the ability to transfer lists to other devices. Other than that it's really an excellent application. Thank you

Our kids have enjoyed this app. The play games on their ipods all the time so this helps us transition to homework time. The finish their spelling lists much faster too.

I have a 6th grader and a 3rd grader and they both have weekly spelling tests. I just knew there had to be an app to help them learn their spelling words and do mock spelling tests... and sure enough this is it! It does everything I hoped and more. After reviewing them I deleted the lists that came with the app and created our own for this weeks' test. While entering each word it allows you to record your voice saying the word. Once we finished entering all the spelling words that my daughter will have a test on in school this Friday we started the "Spelling Bee"! It allowed us to randomize the order that the words are given, which is great! Once she hears the word, she can push the button to hear it again. The word can be typed and letters deleted or rearranged if need be. Once she submits the word, the app gives audible success or failure tunes/applause. There are hints that can be configured and you can set it so that after three failed spelling attempts it displays the word. Once she completes the list of words it will display a tally of correctly and incorrectly spelled words. I am thoroughly happy with this app. The kids like the hangman game they can play with their own spelling words! Some things could look smoother and setting up our first list didn't seem real intuitive but it's easy enough for the kids to enter their word lists themselves. Something that would be useful to us is a way to share the word lists with other iPhones and ipads. Our family has four iPhones and two iPads so, if our kids don't have access to the device they originally created their list on, it can be tedious to re-enter and re-record their spelling words on another iPad/iPhone (this also increases the risk for error on their part). Great idea, great app! I'm surprised that there aren't any other apps that meets the same need (for iPhone or iPad). This is a great investment to our children's education! Now studying for spelling tests is fun for the kids!
Great to personalize for the kiddos

It's hard to find software that allows me to enter the kids' spelling lists from school, but this makes it fun (and portable) for the kids to practice their spelling lists. It's somewhat time consuming to enter the words and find the pronunciations, but I had good luck finding audio files for all of them with the "fetch" function, so I didn't have to do any of my own recordings. So far, so good!

Great job. Suggestion ability to move list app on another iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth or email or web sync. Great regardless. Works well as advertised.
