-Servo Reversing
-Stick Configuration: Modes 1-4
-Wing Type: Normal or Delta/Elevon
-Expo: On or Off
-Trainer Modes.
For advanced programming features such as stick configuration, wing type selection, expo on/off function, model setup import and many more, the Spektrum programming cable (SPMA3081-Mobile) is required. Basic programming features such as servo reversing and trim adjust can be used without the programming cable.
Once saved to your mobile device, you can upload the setup for a specific model to the DXe with a simple point and click.
You can also use the interface to upload pre-programmed setups for Bind-N-Fly® aircraft.
Note that the application currently supports only fixed-wing aircraft.
About as bad as an app can get. Far too great a gap between the app and what an average, but conscientious, rc flyer can be expected to know. Frustrating when all you want to do is fly the plane and all the poorly explained electronics get in the way.
Got this app to connect to my helicopter controller. It does nothing to program helicopters, just airplanes, and it doesn't seem to do much with them. Seems to have potential but at this point it's useless.
Followed dxe instruction specifically... iPhone 6s shut down and took 5 minutes to reboot... Please horizon send more info on programming my dxe... Training ... Also didnt use the usb option beacause windows 10 ...plz help horizon!!
It doesn't save the bind to the model. Waste of time trying to get it to do what was advertised.
I usually don't write negative for products and try to think of the positive in everything, but the Dxe by spectrum is absolutely the worst. It may work better with other receivers or set ups, but if you have anything with safe-mode it is absolutely the worst. It doesn't work right, it's very glitchy, and if you were unprepared and a beginner you will crash your plane, thankfully I was able to bail out without crashing twice when it glitched. Buy at your own risk and use the app at your own risk, the app is very hard to get to sync with phone.
This app simply won't connect to a DXe transmitter in iOS 8, 9, or 10 using the Bluetooth connector. Completely useless.
This app almost never connects to the DXe and when it does it fails at programming resulting in signal loss to rx. Its caused several crashes due to connection loss and i'm thinking about how I can make the manufacturer pay for the loss in parts.
This works on my iPhone 5C, iOS 10.2.1. Load DXe Programmer App from iTunes. Go to Settings on iPhone, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on Spectrum Transmitter. Turn Microphone on (this activates the receptacle that you plug the programming cable into). Connect cable to DXe and iPhone. The first synch should be from the transmitter to the iPhone, among other things this lets you change the transmitter mode. If you don't activate the microphone, synching doesn't work. There is an iPhone/DXe tutorial on You Tube.
Horrible horrible user experience. Bad user flow for connecting a device, poor navigation in the app, unclear how to work most of the UI. It's as if they outsourced this app to a third party who had never used (and never will) the actual product. This is so typical of drivers and/or setup software for consumer devices (like printers, Bluetooth headsets, digital voice recorders, and now this thing). Below this is a review with a few important tips. (1) you have to explicitly enable the microphone for this app in Settings or it won't work at all, (2) I had to turn off Siri because comically Siri kept interrupting and trying to "help" with whatever beeps and bloops are being transmitted on the audio cable.
It’s a pain to down load model files off the spektrum website and then add them to the transmitter and then turn around and hook up your phone just to save them. Please add the files to the app. It’s only like 8mb for all of them. Please stop half heartily supporting your product. This could be a great radio.
