I'm definitely glad that I wound up purchasing this. I read quite a few reviews before I did, and they did not do the game any favors. But being a fan of the development team and looking for another strategy RPG with MFi support, I took the dive. Now that I've stuck with it for a couple months (and I don't believe I'm anywhere near completing this game), I'm so glad that I did. At first, it was pretty confusing, and I could understand why the game got such poor reviews. But like a lot of great things, it took some time to grow on me. The depth is great. At first, I thought it was basically just depth in the fighting/battle mechanics, but once you get into upgrading and improving your weapons/items, the game really opens up. The controls are not very intuative. That's to be expected, seeing as how this is a PSP port. If you can deal with an isometric view and dpad for movement, you shouldn't have any issues. If you have an MFi controller, the controls are as near perfect as they could be. If you're a fan of the genre, the price point shouldn't surprise you. It offers up quite a bit of depth and over 100 hours of campaign play alongside hundreds more in side quests and replay value (4 different endings, all dependent on your movements and choices in-game!), and while, yes, that does include quite a bit of grinding, it's far from being a grind fest (I found myself grinding less than in FFT).

Excellent Game

Czar625

The many different endings and seemingly endless amount of different weapons makes this game excellent. I've played this game about 5 times through and each time seems to be a different outcome based on when you choose to be a certain army for the historical points of the story. It can get grindy at times but what RPG doesn't? I really love the art and the character designs. I love each of the armies because they're all so unique and have to be played a little differently. Truly a test of war strategy to this game. Of course this game isn't perfect. The "true ending" is dang near impossible to achieve without an online guide (and the item creation is probably impossible to figure out on your own) but it is definitely worth trying once you've started a new game plus. What I love most about this game is how long it is. I can't remember the last game I've played that kept my attention for hours at a time. I think the fastest I've ever beat this game was about 24 hours of gameplay.

Can’t play on iOS 11

I would give this game a great review, but I can’t play anymore. It won’t work on iOS 11 and won’t redownload! I’m tired of buying games just waste my money because they don’t work on the newer iOS software. I have a feeling this one will be updated. The people who do this are crooks. You don’t charge someone to buy something and then take away what they bought.

Please update

I purchased this game right before the update and I still can’t play it. I have loved what I played so far. I am about 10 hours in.
