No Customer Support- No password reset - No bike interface

leaf0013

Downloaded the latest version months ago and now not only can I log into my account but I can't get anyone from Mission Control Support to respond to my emails. One lone lady from Specialized Customer Service has been trying to help me, but she's knowledable on the bikes- not the App. How can a company like Speacialized make a $5-10K dollar bike which is dependant upon a functioning app interface NOT fund an app team with the knowledge and ability to maintain the app? For anyone who doens't know, the Turbo Levo line of bikes requires interaction through this app to fine tune the bikes electrical systems and USE TO allow the rider to customize motor-rider interface. This allows the rider to control how much assist the bike provides and ultimately how long the battery will last- otherwise its a just a bike with a motor and no different than other much cheaper bikes on the market.

Useful and minimalistic

The app allows you to "tune" your bike, which means you can control the peak output and percentage of the motor when I pedal. Super easy, have not had any problems with it. Map is cool since it shows the roads around you, speed, battery, motor %. The only thing that I have to complain about is that u can't put exact addresses but you can pin point where you want to go. Route isn't always the most "bike friendly" route. Other then that, neat app!

App will not work

I can't even get the app to successfully let me create an account

App does not support Vado 5.0

Needanappthatworks

Specialized should be ashamed that they are marketing the Vado 5.0 with matials talking about all the amazing features of a non-existent app for the 5.0. After having frustration trying to use this app with my brand new $4,599.99 Vado 5.0, I contacted Specialized and learned that the current version of the app does not support the 5.0. I consider Specialized to be guilty of false advertising, since features of the app are shown in their advertising for this bike and in the manual for the bike. THEY JUST FORGOT TO SAY THAT THE APP DOES NOT EXIST YET FOR THE VADO 5.0. Customer support was nice about it, but gave no definite date on when the app might be updated to support the Vado 5.0. It seems they are hiding a major flaw in their product rollout. Perhaps it was because one of their major competitors released a new directly competing high end e-bike at approximately the same time that the Vado 5.0 was released (July 2017 in central Texas) and Specialized did not want to admit that they HAVE NOT FINISHED THE SOFTWARE (APP) THAT IS NEEDED TO USE THE FEATURES THAT THEY BRAG ABOUT IN THEIR ADVERTISING! I will update this review when an app that works with the Vado 5.0 is released. They should also add a disclaimer in all of their marketing materials and on the app store that the current app is not compatible with the new Vado 5.0 high end e-bike that they just released. Or, they could just mail everyone who purchased a Vado 5.0 with missing features a check.......

Can't even create an account.....

simply won't work

I'm giving one star, but zero is more appropriate. No matter what name I use, it says my username is taken. I am certain that some of these are not taken. So since I can't get it to accept my name, I cannot even get started. They have had years to fix it, and they haven't bothered.

Can't get into my account

Scattered home office mom

I set up my account last year when I first bought my bike. I'm trying to login but, though it recognizes that I already have an account, I cannot login. Good times.

App FAILS for Vado 5

ricst

I'm still waiting for a functioning App to control the Vado 5. And if Bluetooth is present, there is no evidence of this on the Vado's display. Come on Specialized: we paid a *lot* of money for this bike. At least announce a planned release date for the App.

Come on!!!

So i joyfully picked up my turbo Vado 6.0 today. And i wasted an hour trying to sync the app via Bluetooth. You deliver a $5,000 bike with software that doesn’t work, really? When exactly will you be rolling out the software update to make this work and will I need to go back to the dealer for an update?
