Perfect Wizardry clone...
Catman 63

I remember first seeing Wizardry 1 on my friend’s Apple II computer back in the late 70s, and to this day it remains one of my all-time favorite games. I have wanted to re-play it since, and especially on my iPhone/iPad. I’ve been looking for the original, classic Wizardry but it does not exist. This game is a fantastic clone - the floors are different but so far the gameplay is identical and I believe the monsters are as well. Looking forward to getting into the depths here...

Great OId School RGP

I found this game to be very addicting and fun. It plays just like the old commodore games, but with sharper lines. After looking at some of the reviews on this game, a lot of people are complaining about features that aren't there, but if you take your time and mess around with the game you will find that they are. For example, yes, you can save your game, and yes, there is a function to view the stats on a weapon or piece of armor. Also, the dungeons only seem difficult because, in my opinion, newer rpg's are very newbie friendly as to not discourage too quickly. If you want to level your party up, take them down for short little jaunts, pull them back up, rest them up and equip them, then save the party under the Training Grounds-System-Backup feature. Don't wander too far until you've gone up and down the same halls several times and have them committed to memory (unless you want to map them out on graph paper--something we used to do with old games like Ultima and Bards Tale). This is one the best games I've found so far out of maybe 50 or so that I've tried out, and --go figure-- it's free. Thanks for making it available!!

Weak

Good nostalgia, tedious gaming
Dead Again... And again, and again...

I grew up in an era of computer gaming that should have prepared me for this game. It's the same as any old, old school rpg. This makes it pretty difficult to stay alive. I was willing to stick with it for a while, but the lack of automap made it too confusing. When I am gaming on my iPhone, I often don't have my cartography tools nearby. After I stumbled into a teleporter or trick door or something and got destroyed for the umpteenth time, I decided to retire this app. All the fun of an old school rpg, and all of the awful too.

Great Ol' School Game

Once you figure out the basics and get going on some Dungeon hunts, it is highly additive. But I give it the 4 star rating instead of 5 only because you have to switch classes to raise your HP points for your characters once you get 'em past level 10 of a class and the weapon/armor selection needs to be expanded to survive the harder levels and add more depth to your available inventory. Overall, great sit-back kick-back ol' school RPG.

Sorcerer is great old school Wizardry

It was great to find an old game from my Apple IIe days. I hope more are forthcoming.

Wizardry 1 clone
MadRat70

I wrote a long review and lost it due to some one having my nick already. Damn iPod functionality does remember the post in that circumstance!!!? It's good, but it's limited and there are some frustrating bugs.
