Supper Disappointed

Beardstronaut

I wanted to love this game. I’m a lifelong Sonic fan and was extremely excited for what looked like a Super Mario Run-like experience. All the ideas are here for this to be a great game, but the polish just isn’t. Why does the game have a weird stutter when jumping on a spring? It literally ruins the experience for me. The way momentum works in this game makes no sense. I’m going at a good pace, time a jump to launch off a spring and the game almost comes to a halt? I’d like to hope this is a bug that can be patched. But it seems more likely an issue with the physics engine. ?

Fun and excellent gameplay

Love this game. Fast paced levels, challenging, and maintains the essence of classic Sonic games. There are lots of characters to choose from, each with their own benefits and slightly different play style. I like that the game is not as simple as "tap at the perfect time or die" like many others are. If you make mistakes there are penalties, but you can get away with some mistakes better than others. And there are a few different ways to play each level, so trying new things is encouraged. There needs to be a lot more content, though. This game can easily be beaten in a day, including most of the stars and upgrades. I also wish the hero team was more useful. They don't collect rings as easily as chaos team, and don't seem to give any benefit to robot kills like team dark, so I never use them unless it's required to achieve a star. Otherwise the game is pretty well balanced. I hope the developers keep supporting this game, adding content and making improvements; they've done a fantastic job so far!

Best Sonic for mobile

Hatch82

In a nutshell, this seems to be Sega’s answer to Super Mario Run. Sonic runs on his own and you simply jump when needed. For a mobile game it’s very fun. There’s power ups you can unlock and you can spend your rings on items. The graphics are great and the game works good. I find it funny (but not surprising) that Gameloft developed it. I’ve noticed that Sega has been getting other devs to handle their new Sonic games lately.

You’re going to update this, right?

Ryuzaki12

I LOVE Runners, and was disappointed that the servers were being shut down. I eagerly waited for Adventures as soon as the announcement came out, and I bought it the day it came out! But I didn’t know there would only be 4 measly worlds.. i got the ‘Congrats! Thanks for playing!’ Image and was so confused. Had I really beaten it? How come there wasn’t more levels to play? Why the hell did I pay $3.00 for a game I beat in 3ish days, when the original Runners was free and had endless levels that I continued to play for several months!? I really hope you guys update this to add more levels, cause I did have fun.. But I’m probably not going to touch it again until then...

Sonic Runners, but no Microtransactions

Tony the Guy who Reviewed

This is the return of sonic runners, a cancelled Sonic App I used to enjoy playing. It’s a fun game, and it’s awesome that there are no micro transactions. Easy to get all the characters and go to town. The one thing I will say is that I wish they had truly infinite levels. I haven’t beat the game yet, so maybe it comes later, but the “infinite levels” I’ve played so far are not infinite, they are timed. Please bring a truly infinite level, perhaps with a leaderboard.

The Best Sonic game,

Speedy314

Amazing, Outstanding.

No Replayability

Joefutofu

I finished the game in one airplane trip. While I appreciate offline play, the difficulty spike is too high and there is a lot less variety compared to the previous f2p version on android.

I'm not going to lie...

Idk Sega but the old Sonic Runners was way better than this. In Sonic Runners Adventure, the graphics are not the greatest. And it's saddening to me that I payed $3 for this. The old game had better graphics and it looks better. I was expecting to get really good graphics after paying 3 dollars. The old game was free and still had better graphics. And not to mention but literally most of the character models look weird. Who designed this? I know SEGA tried making another game so that more people would play after the first one not getting as many people playing, but come on. Sonic looks weird. The game isn't horrible. I just think the main problem with this game is the character models, the graphics, and how smooth the animations should look after character roll down a hill. Not bad but needs lots of work tbh.
