Was a great game, not so much anymore

The Man-Bear

I've sunk a decent amount of money into this game and I'm pretty disappointed with the experience on mobile with the latest release. SBE clearly just ported the desktop client over to iOS. It's nearly unplayable on touch screen. If SBE wanted to stop support for mobile they should have just said so and pulled the app from the marketplace.

New update game design horrible, please fix!

I love this game but the new update is not good. Cards and board in game are a lot smaller and everything is harder to see. It's more difficult to navigate. Before the board layout was clean and sexy. Now there is way too much going on, it's a hot mess. Please fix it???

Great game - Horrid Update for mobile

June 2016 Update: Wow! It is pretty hard to articulate how bad the new update is on both iPhone and iPad. It clearly was never tested on mobile. Broken deck building and super long load times are just the start. The developers have to know this was a really bad idea to put into the wild. Wait until the next update. It is NOT good right now! Original Review: I enjoy customizable card games quite a bit. The key is customizable. While Magic on iOS is very good, the lack of customization keeps me from enjoying it as much as I could. SolForge really is an amazing game. True customization, along with cards that morph, and great multiplayer make for a winning combination. Excellent stuff!

Please update very very soon

The update looks cool and I've spent hours and have acquired many legendaries and this game is really really fun but let me say this is disappointing that I open it to see the solforge logo and then just get a blackscreen. UPDATE:it works on my pc but only works every once and a while on my phone. I like the new update just make it work for the phone.

Great game/ horrible update

This was a top tier designed game. It's a lot of fun and the cards are fairly easy to acquire. They also do a good job of changing the cards to add variety. I've only had one issue since this update when they nerfed the hard ai. But this update, man it's bad. I'm not talking about the server/app issues. The UI is awful. I understand the card layout will take getting used to, but all the lame animations are really distracting and make it really hard to focus on the core product, the game. As of now I'm done, but I'll try it again in a month or 2. But wow those animations are so bad and that chest looks like it came from 1997!

Great game, horrible QA testing for this update.

I wanted to let you know that you lost a customer with this update. My friends and I have been playing asynchronous games for several years and have thoroughly enjoyed this application. But the recent update has killed any of that. Not only have you removed the asynchronous game play, which means we can no longer play against each other, your new user interface is completely detrimental to playing the game in general. The update contains so much fluff around the cards that detracts from actually playing or deck building. The cards are smaller, making space for so much useless fluff. Deck Building/inventory management on the iPad is now more like the old phone interface, which was barely useable. You've removed all of the space to view the cards in your deck and the library. The cards that do show are smaller and at the same time fewer in number. You take up 1/4 of the screen showing me my deck names when they serve no purpose being visible; whether I'm deck building in a particular deck, making a new deck or just managing my inventory I gain nothing from seeing my deck names display. A perfect example of the needless, yet poorly thought out and executed design is the tree on the main screen. It serves no real purpose, takes up 40% of the viewing area and the "animation" in it is just an insult. All you do is compress and stretch the trunk/branches to try to simulate moving with the wind. The effect fails and the amount of movement in that trunk is crazy. On top of all the movement in trunk and branches, the lanterns hanging from them don't move at all. It looks like a middle schooler learning to make animated gifs. The design team really dropped the ball here. Both in terms of their design comp and user experience. Apps don't have a long shelf life on most devices but this is one I've consistently used for 4 years. I'm sorry to see it go away as an option for me.

?? I am appalled not by the new version of the app crashing immediately after you launch it, but by the realization that after 3+ years playing this game (which is my favorite game on my phone) the developers somehow managed to think taking away some of the best features of the game (so far untimed games and deck builder functionality) would make their consistent players happier. Please fix soon...

Went from First to WORST

Fang Fan

This was an amazing card game until they ported this new disaster of an interface. It's clear this interface is not for mobile users. Text is tiny and buttons are all over the place. In some cases it just doesn't work. The obnoxious "FPS" tracker in the corner lets you know you are seeing a great game go down the toilet as fast as possible.

Ruined a great game

Silver2x

Why bother with a card game if you're going to minimize the artwork of the cards?

they killed it
