Wish you could zoom into earth

Chris484757

I have used the website and now this app for years and I’ve learned a lot from it. My biggest frustration is I have always wanted to zoom in on the part of earth facing the sun to see its position. You can sort of see it from behind the sun but always you’re left with wanting to zoom in to get a closer look. There are some zooming features but it always seems like a frustrating experience and it blocks you from getting it exactly where you want it. Other than that, it’s been a really useful website/app over the years.

It’s Changed

When I first bought the app, you could view the solar system with the orbits close together so you could see how they compare. Now you can only see the natural planet orbits and you have to zoom way out. And it’s hard to compare the planet orbits because the planet size is too small and scale is too large in natural orbit view. I’ll give this app 5 stars if you bring that function back where you can see the planet orbits close together.

Since update crashes on startup

lookhowdumbyouare

So, i purchased the desktop version for Windows, i purchased the iPad Pro and iPhone iOS version, i purchased the 3d models of the solar system upgrade pack, and....nothing? Your software doesn't work. On iOS, it won't even open. As i said, it crashes on startup. (and i even went to the trouble of completely erasing my brand new iPad Pro 12.9 and reinstalling all its programs and resetting all its settings as a new device because i want to use your software.) I firts contacted your company about this months ago. I'm sure you folks are good people making a fun product, and i would imagine you take your work seriously, but if you take money from someone then don't supply the product that was paid for, that's a scam. It has been MONTHS ihave patiently waited for a resolution to this issue. I don't have anything i paid for from your company, (excepting the desktop Windows version, which works just fine.) And the one reply i got from you is just to say "thanx for the email"? It's been so long now that the software i bought from your company crashes on startup that i'm now on a newer version of the operating system, that being 11.4. I would expecteithera refund of my purchase price or some kind of resolution to the issues that prevent me from using the product i purchased from you. I await your detailed reply with answers to my inquiry.

Works, But there is a problem.

Very well made and functional

Really like this app and kudos too the designers. Amazing graphics and I love how you can see in real time where all the planets are, how they line up and speed it up one day and forward time and watch everything that will happen in the future. Really amazing!!!

Good but not the best

Solar System Scope is a good app but definitely not the best… It is very buggy and needs a lot of work… For example - Add the Day and Night Map - Simulations of Transit of Venus and Eclipses

I bought this app already. Then they update it and ask me to pay again? Apple, are you paying attention? Illegal activity.

Asking for a repurchase

Ojsitv

I have tried to contact your support with this issue after the update - but no response . I bought your app 6 months back. Now after the update you are asking me to repurchase it. All the functionality for which I bought the app is no longer available . Can you please assist to correct this issue.

Saturn is epic

Ajay918

Love the shadows on Saturn. Other apps don't get this right. Beautiful app full of features like setting the date to see the positions of planets and moons. The app is a little buggy (hence the 4 stars rather than 5) but it's quite beautiful.

Good navigation, but...

Great ability to dynamically view our solar system from all sorts of angles and scales. Settings are stingy, e.g., can’t even change units. Also, on the thumbnail screen, Earth and Mars are shown spinning in the wrong direction. Bad form for such an app. Overall, seems kind of shallow, not much depth of information to drill down into.
