Banned

Krewsayde

Got banned for sharing my feelings as it relates to recovery. If you are looking for an honest place to share your feelings I don’t recommend this app. Shame on the developers for hindering my progress in recovery.

User friendly.

This is great for a newbie!

cindymstevens

I am new to the program and this app has connected me to a community with the same challenges as I have. For someone who hates to talk on the phone, this is a great alternative to calling a sponsor.

Must have app for sobriety!

sms3eb

This app helped me immensely during the beginning of my sobriety. There is always someone to talk to that is going through exactly what you’re going through. Or someone that has already gone through it and can give you advice. I have also gotten great book and podcast recommendations on here. I highly recommend this app if you are planning on quitting or just taking a break.

Sober maintenance

Amindfulangel

This app has become part of my daily sober maintenance. It allows me to reflect on where I have been over time so I can see my growth or recognize character defects that may require a bit more attention. It is especially helpful when I am in my own head and unable to get to a meeting to regroup. Thank you for giving me another tool for my sobriety toolbox!

AA is killing us

Jefness

This APP is very pro-AA and if you dare to speak out against it and suggest other options they will censor you. AA has a 10% success rate and operates without any sort of organization, certifications, accountability, statistics, evidence or medical licensing. It is a dangerous cult like program that kills more people than it saves. This APP only promotes AA and does not allow its members to denounce what a terrible method AA is to treat addiction disorder. You wouldn’t go to a hospital without knowing everyone in there was licensed to practice medicine and followed a strict set of policies and regulations before you allowed them to treat you or a loved one with a deadly disease. Addiction disorder is a deadly disease and AA is acting like a reputable organization qualified to treat it. It’s based in religion and brings in money to churches and our justice system and that is why it’s become so prevalent every where you turn to get help for your sickness. Stay away from this APP it will lead you astray. As an example I posted a link to an article from the Atlantic perfectly describing all of the problems with the AA method and it’s very deep failures and it was removed. I was told disparaging AA was against their policy. Here are the messages; SOBERGRID-I have removed your posts disparaging AA. These violate our community rules: everyone gets sober a different way, and all are supported on the app. If you continue to post things of this nature you will be removed entirely. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! Congrats on 11 months of sobriety. MY RESPONSE-You allow people to praise and peddle the program but do not allow people to share their experience of its failure? You should call the app AA Grid so we can avoid wasting our time while it continues to kill. By denying sick people the best possible information to treat their illness you are contributing to their death. This is foolish and discriminatory. Stay far away from this APP if you want a better chance at surviving your addiction.
