Great new Sober app!

Princess Simis

I came across this app by mistake. As I went through it & asked questions, it's a Facebook for sober people!! There's so much support for you and to be given support to others. Finally a place for people in recovery to go without being stigmatized! Awesome job Sober Grid!

Not a solution or substitute!

I have been in recovery a very long time and have found this app to be disturbing as to the inappropriate behavior that is allowed. I have found that the developers allow inappropriate memes etc by others who are obviously using. Even when it is brought to there attention they have continued to allow it. This has turned into another version of Facebook minus the solution. It is a lot of the problem without seeking a solution. I also have found there are a lot on this app that aren’t even in any kind of 12 Step recovery program. They are basically dry and look to gang up on other members who are all about AA or NA. A lot of bad advice from those who have no business giving it. I’m referring to comments like - You got this, Hang in there etc. For the life of me I still can’t find these “solutions” in any of the books. SG does not promote a safe healthy environment for this who are needing a different form of support and another solution. They have ignored pleas from its members to remove certain users because of the type of behavior that would never be allowed in any meeting etc. I wouldn’t recommend this app if you are looking for a positive solution.

My most used app

This is a great app for anyone in recovery or who wants to begin the recovery process from alcohol or other drug addiction. I use it frequently daily. I love the daily quests (activities to complete) and the network of great people. I highly recommend it.

Love it

This app really does help if you can't make it to an actual meeting and need the support to fight temptation. With the exception of one dude trying to hit on me, it really is helpful to my sobriety

Great community!

Meeting in the Palm of Your Hand

I live where there are only two meetings a day. I can’t always get to meetings—there are many demands on a recovering person’s time. That’s where this app saves the day! There is always someone to listen, offer encouragement, or share their experience strength and hope. It’s been a lifesaver for me.

This is the site you've been looking for ....

Liberato

For those if us battling this disease, finding company with others who share similar problems, have experienced unique individual - yet easily identifiable - journeys to get from that place where never want to go back to, this is the place! I have made the Sober Grid an important tool kept in my Recovery Tool Kit. Thankfully, I haven't yet had the need to fall back on my tools to continue my journey, but I thank that Higher Power we have all surrendered to that this site exists. Sharing our thoughts, feelings, desires, disappointments is a positive step towards reducing that feeling of isolation our disease so often causes us to feel. If you have a problem with alcohol or abuse other substances, believe me, you are not alone! Come join us at the Sober Grid. You will not be sorry.

Great App!!

Great app to help you check in and stay in touch with other people traveling this amazing path of sobriety with you. The app owner checks in with you too and there are lots of useful tools to use throughout the app! A++

I’m an oldtimer in Gamblers Anonymous and Overeaters Anonymous since 1970 and 1974 respectfully. All addictions are crushing and positive reenforcement can only help with recovery. Sober Grid allows all of USA platform for giving and taking. Happy it’s available.
