It's a fun game, but recently the online play has been very buggy and the game crashes constantly. Players are thrown off the server at the beginning of each online game... FIX IT.

Spent $3 and am stunned by how good this game is. Infinite replay value! Only ran into one bug in 12 hours of 1P play thus far (Halfling AI refused to place a second Hero token once). The AI is tough to beat! Haven’t tried the multiplayer stuff yet. Like to have a game option for speeding up the end-of-turn stuff instead of having to click the skip button twice each turn (but the running rabbit is worth $3 alone : )

Yeah, super crashy. Makes it pretty much impossible to play. I don’t know who the software developer behind DoW’s games, but Ticket to Ride is super crashy, too. Bummer, because they’re really fun games.

Bottom line a very fun game with infinite replay ability. This is by far my favorite ipad game, it is fun to play by yourself or with a group and unlike the board game there isn't anything to cleanup afterwards. Also I had purchased the original Smallworld app which DOW upgraded for free when SW2 came out, thank you very much. I have also not had any problems with bugs or crashing on an iPad that crashes every time I open the app store so I am confused by how many people are complaining about bugs.

Seems like the people reporting crashes are having problems with online games. I've had no trouble so far with single- and multi-player local games. This is a beautiful port of a great game. I do wish you could take back moves before your turn ends. It's too easy to make a mistake!

Perfect port of the board game. Me and my girlfriend play it whenever we need to kill some time. It's great to be able to experience all player boards with just 2 players, as we could only play the one board with the board game. We look forward to more in game purchase expansions, perhaps even a Small World Underground port :D

Great concept but local games do not work at all for me. The two iPads are on the same network so it should just work. Look at the other reviews and consider the reported bugs before you buy. I don't understand how an app that costs more than free would be released in this state.

I love this game but this app always crashes. And it's effected my online score and my karma points. I feel like I should be karma compensated! Days of Wonder you have to to fix these bugs!

I have not played the board game but heard good things, so I purchased this app. The first thing you notice is the tutorial is a video. I play at work where I can tap the screen and read but cannot watch a video. Next, it is almost as though they expect you to purchase the physical game if you want to know what is going on. The rules section is vague and missing pei do. From what I understand I was supposed to have a total troops equal to the two numbers on my face and power cards, as my opponent did, but always seemed to have less. Part of a strategy game is planning ahead, but with vague rules that seemed to change randomly, I was never able to win past the first game. Pass on this game and go for a game you are more familiar with, I know I wish I had.
