Not a single day of free testing period. No weekly/monthly options. Who would subscribe if it’s out of pocket? Obviously they are targeted for insurance reimbursements.
Incredible program but mediocre user experience

I get why there are some really negative reviews for this - the app itself is clunky especially on first use (just set yourself up on a computer). But, for anyone that doesn’t just have a hard time sleeping but has an actual debilitating sleep disorder (??♀️) this program is incredible. You should use it in addition to your current treatment plan, which is what it’s designed for. On the developers website, you can read the reports on how the app & program was developed, and what the empirical efficacy has been, which is seldom available for other apps of this nature.

How do I set up an account??? Using Facebook crashes, using Google encounters error and the third way (whatever it is) is Not supported anymore. What a gigantic waste of my time!

No way to use the app. The only way is if your employer covers it or if they invite you for a research study. No way from what I can see to even pay for it. Super weird business plan. Am I missing something?????

After using Ativan to sleep every night for at least 10 years, I heard that there was a link between benzodiazepine use and dementia. Around the same time, I saw a brief article in a magazine that talked about using cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, and it listed Sleepio as one of the tools available. Long story short, after about six months, I had tapered off the sleeping pills, and I was getting good sleep on most nights. Even when I was using Ativan, most days I still felt very tired. Now, I might have a couple of slightly “off” nights a week, but I can live with that, knowing that I have kicked the sleeping pill habit. Sleepio is not easy or quick, and you have to put a lot of effort into it, but it really works! I found the community to be very helpful, and formed positive relationships with several other members while I was using it.

Only works for short quotes
So I went to the Sleepio website to register, since I read that this app will only work after you’ve registered in the Sleepio program via the Sleepio website. I answered all the questions, and made sure to thoughtfully consider each question and give the most accurate answer possible. I was excited to submit my answers and provide my information so I could receive an email of my “sleep report”. My sleep report said my sleep was a “2.5/10”, which is “VERY POOR”. Well thank goodness for Sleepio! All I have to do now is click the green “Get my program” button at the bottom of the email, and I’ll be on my way to better sleep! Oh happy day! This is great, thank you Sleepio! Oh. Never mind. Sleepio says my insurance doesn’t cover this and I don’t meet criteria to participate in their research. I guess this could be a great app, but apparently I’ll never know… Oh, and if anyone from Sleepio reads this, please accept my apology for this snarky review. I couldn’t help it- I’m sleep deprived!
Great when you have access

This app was a huge help in getting my sleep back on track after years of frequent travel between time zones. However, after a year my access as part of the study expired. I would absolutely pay for this, but apparently that’s not an option. I don’t really understand their business model and for someone who was counting on the app to maintain improved sleep it’s really, really frustrating.
Has calculation error in sleep efficiency

For certain sleep scenarios, it incorrectly calculates sleep efficiency, with some cases being off by 50%.
This app keeps freezing

I’m able to do the sleep diary but the program part “Resume session” freezes so there is no PROGRAM for me. . It keeps telling me to rotate my phone. No amount of rotating or turning my phone off and on will activate the professor. Good luck!
