Bought app, but now must buy a map in order to play!!!!!

Eaddjd

10+ yrs ago I purchased this PC game & it was a favorite. Thrilled to Re-purchase it (not the lite version) for the iPhone. Absolutely a 5 star game----but after playing a few games, am locked out of the app unless I purchase maps!!! I can't even play map #1 !!! I often do in game purchases, but have never been locked out of a purchased game until I make an additional purchase. I feel extremely cheated.

Awesome Strategy Game

VegasCross

Perfect game. Don't listen to the haters. You get 468 maps with the purchase, so all of these people complaining about not getting all the maps when you purchase it are just whiners. It would take days and days of continuous play to play through all the maps you get with it. Completely and totally worth the purchase, and this is coming from someone who has spent less than $30 total on all games in the last seven years. Addictive.

Great investment

I bought this game a long time ago and it never gets old. There are so many levels and each one can be replayed to get a better-lower-score so that it is really an evergreen game. Mechanics are simple and deep enough to keep you engaged for a very long time. Read the title of the review and it says it all. It's a great investment of money and time.

I still play this game after seven years!

Cosmo413

I've had this game installed on my last three phones and I still play it. The only thing I can think of right now that would make this game better would be to put on each house the number of hexagons it is serving. Sometimes at the end of larger boards when I'm trying to kill the enemy I have to count every spot on each turn to determine whether I can kill the enemy or not. Another way of possibly doing that would be show a positive number or negative number based off of how many spots are required based on the number of men. For instance, if I had 10 of the basic man and only had 13 hexagons, it would show -7 on the spot, and if I had 23 spots it would show a 3 on the house.

A Classic

I remember the first time I played this game. It came in a demo disc with other great games like Serious Sam. It's great that Sean put Slay into the market!

Simple, Challenging, Fun... $$

[Animus]

I really like games like this. It's very easy to learn, quite challenging over various difficulty levels, every game is different, and it's quite fun. The graphics could be updated, but at least there are a few graphics mods to choose from. My biggest complaint was that I paid for the additional map pack only to find that half were unlocked, not all. What a jerk move by the developer. Total money grab.

Been playing for a decade

Bedevere13

I had the PC shareware version of this a decade ago and loved it then and love it now. It's very fun and relaxing, and the game design is so elegant and perfect. I wish the AI was smarter and there were some more game modes, like fewer but smarter opponents, or preset territories. Not a fan of all the different graphics skins, but the game is so perfect, I don't care.

This continues to be a game I pick up and enjoy again and again!

It has been a while since I last played Slay, and it was like coming back to an old friend - everything was super easy and familiar to use, and it continues to be very entertaining to play! The developer has done an amazing job of making this game easy to play, very stable, and very quick! Thank you!

It's still well worth the money

Wavefront

I've had this app for many years and I've kept it when I've updated phones. I've defeated all the original maps on the highest difficulty setting, but I still come back on occasion to replay some maps. The game play is simple, yet some of the maps are rather challenging to defeat. If you want even more maps then you might want to purchase the IAP maps. Enemy without them the game has good replay value.

Still one of my favorite games

Been playing for years. Still one of my favorite games.
