Great game, awful port

iestynne

This game was PERFECT for mobile. But the port is unforgivably awful. It's obvious they never played the port and never got anyone to test it for them. The most basic and fundamental things like selecting which card to play simply DOESN'T WORK! (you know, kinda important, when one wrong move can kill your painstakingly cultivated 45-minute run). Such a shame, this will give players a bad impression of a fantastic game and reflects badly on MegaCrit. They should have paid attention.

Good. Could have been great.

First and foremost: not having iCloud sync for saves is baffling. I play on my iPad. I want to play on my phone when I’m out- but there’s no sync. In 2021. Again: baffling. The feel of the game is off. I haven’t played this on PC but have to imagine the cards expand on mouseover. Absent a mouse, having to touch the cards to read them when there’s plenty of unused real-estate on the screen is fiddly. Dragging the cards doesn’t feel good- even with the arrows. More than once I’ve dragged the wrong card by accident- this has never happened to me in ESO Legends or Gwent. I’ll keep playing because the core game loop is fun. But a few quality-of-life improvements could make this a killer 5-star game- and not just a “that had some serious potential…”

Can’t recommend enough

One of my favorite games of all time. I’ve been playing since 2019 on steam and have around 400 total hours combined from steam, iOS, and Nintendo switch. It’s a hefty price especially for an app but it’s the full fledged game that costs $25 on all other platforms so it really is a steal. The game runs great and the iOS port is nothing short of exceptional. Support indie developers!!

Love the game BUT

Phartsy

It needs controller support!

I don’t know if I love it, or if I’m just addicted. It’s so toxic, but I keep coming back.
