Ideally this should be a great system and maybe it is. I find it confusing and actually WhatsApp and Facebook are a little more direct and clear. All I can say is that it has not made my life easier, actually only the opposite. I use it a lot on the home, so maybe the web interaction is better. I hear that people like it, I find it more trouble than its worth.

It gives easy communication mechanism. However, it lacks the following: 1. Ability to leave a group 2. The default preferences are annoying. Need not ask for invasive preference. 3. Why does it store data on iCloud? No option to delete the data Also their windows app is a CPU hog. So that worries me about the battery usage.

It would be nice to delete sections of conversations. Why is there no delete button?

Have been using it since I started teaching large community college classes a long while ago. #Slack has never disappointed me! Students feel connected to me and to each other. The interface is very flexible and allows to create a team culture in a most natural way.

It would be good if we can have different background settings with nice ui to attract more people!

Are you kidding me?! You moved all the starred items to the BOTTOM of the list? In what world is that even close to a viable idea, much less one you implement without even giving us a way to customize. I can deal with a fairly high level of app stupidity but this is truly next level.

Now that we’re working from home, I’m often on video calls and like to have the call on my iPad so my computer is free during the call. The slack app doesn’t have a video feature, so I’ve been forced to use other apps for calls when it’d be a lot easier on slack. Would love to see this feature added!
