Extraordinary!

Alarmingly alarmed

Great app for everyone with a deep interest in the sky and everything in it. It’s all there.

Great app

,{! !{£\*!

It makes it easy to work with your telescope. Really saved a lot time.

Pretty

BelayOn

Nice app w/ good info but beware of default setting lurking about; how thoughtless of the developers. The HR diagram upgrade ism’t worth it and the stars upgrade is likely only useful to those serious about very deep sky astrophotography.

First light -Sky Safari 6 Pro

Mt. Nipomo Observatory

Have tried everything BUT Sky Safari Pro for decade + (after finding great features across several different app’s, but never in one...), finally plunked down the $ - Sky Safari 6 Pro the best by far. Spend the extra dough and go deep get the Pro version-no regrets here. 17.2 mag. limit works for galaxy imaging. Little things like instantly creating observing lists, by category, with all the data will save hours and hours-great images in the database too. Every freakin’ little star-tap it, it’s got a story. Largest database I’ve ever seen. This app is the first step to iPad control of my GOTO LosmandyGM811 (C11). Have yet to control mount but the interface appears simple. Elegant and intuitive. Worth every penny.

Celestron starsense auto align now works perfectly. Focus motor control is awesome to hand in phone. This app is fantastic.

Great app

I’ve used this on my Android tablet, and now with my iPad Air, with great results for each. I recommend it to anyone who observes the sky and follows stellar and planetary events.

It could be way better.

I have a few suggestions: 1. The position of the sun seems to be all over the place. The panoramic view and the camera angle needs to be properly adjusted. The sun shouldn’t “always” be in the field of view while turning North, South, East or West “AT CERTAIN ZOOM LEVELS”. It should maintain its position and any slight movement shouldn’t bring it into the field of view. The “horizon altitude” probably needs to be properly tweaked. The field of view bugs out if tilted too high or too low and doesn’t allow for a 360 degree movement/view. It gives a “DOME LIKE” appearance which is not totally right... at certain “reasonable” zoom levels, the app is almost useless to use. It should work appropriately at all zoom levels. 2. An option to select specific satellites to track would also be great rather than having the thousands available displayed at once making the app useless and impossible to view. 3. The screen is jerky on the iPad mini version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled still very jerky. 4. Must have feature: When in AR Mode, can a manual or machine learning AI based “correction” be applied by identifying the position of the sun or moon and making appropriate position and view correction and keeping the correction locked in even after the AR mode is existed. I think this is critical for accurate positioning and data and act as a secondary calibration method. This will also allow for a fix when the on-device compass goes out of wack and will allow manual compass adjustments. Also fixing the “dome like” effect will put the app in the 5 star category. Right now it’s a 2 star max. For the $40 hefty price tag, I would assume this would be a near perfect app but it is far from that. Please have these bugs ironed out so the price can be justified. Thanks.

Simply indispensable
