Very attractive app. It’s entertaining and educational at the same time. A good choice for parents to introduce kids to astronomy.

The developers must never use it themselves. You receive a Iridium flare notice for 5 min away. We go outside to watch, but theres NO TIMER. Like what the flying f man. The flares last a couple of SECONDS. Put a TIMER on the screen. Then, 9 times out of 10, especially on an iPhone X, you accidentally TOUCH ANY PART OF THE DISPLAY, and ALL the info about the flare is -GONE-. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! Oh it’s a pretty app. Just don’t bother with chasing Iridium Flares. Pathetic. Eat your own dog food for Pete’s sake. Add a timer. Keep the info on the screen until intentionally dismissed. Is that really so hard?

This is great for nighttime stargazing. It’s great for identifying which stars you’re looking at and locating constellations.

I got into all this indirectly ... I knew basic stars and constellations through celestial navigation. Over time I wanted to (a lot) more, but found few good guides. this app has become my personal guide and instructor ... am very happy to have it.

Most apps inform but do not educate in a lasting way. The first time you tell you son or daughter or friend or spouse ... hey look at Orion. You will thank this app.
