SKAT for iPad is based on the desktop version of Skat for Mac and PC. For 20 years this is one of the most favored computer skat games.

I have probably played 10,000 games on your app. It is getting very smart and very hard to beat. Congratulations- I can only imagine the AI behind it all. My complaint is this: far too often, my hand looks very much like the previous hand. State X should be independent of state y. I realize your stats show randomness, but I have a strong sense that it ain’t quite so
I love playing skat and tried different computer versions. This by far is the best
I finally found the perfect Skat game for the iPod. Well, almost perfect. A few small changes would make Skat for iPad a 5 star card game. I am not going to try to get into the rules for Skat as it is a rather complicated trick taking card game with many rules variations. One of the things I would appreciate seeing in the game is an explanation of the rules being used. There is an option to change some of the rules, but as far as I can tell the base rules aren't described anywhere. This is fine for people already intimately familiar with Skat, but not as good for those of us who could use a little reminder. One of the things that you will notice after a few hands is that the adorable AI mice will start speaking to you in German. I actually like this, since most of the German is translated into English in little text bubbles. However, a few times it says things which aren't translated (sometimes when I lead an Ace on the first trick, for example) and I would appreciate having everything translated. Additionally elements of the scorecard are left untranslated and there is no option to use a standard US deck with Q and J instead of D and B. I got used to it, but the option would be nice and I think it would help non-German players, although I realize this is probably not most if the publisher's target audience. Gameplay, AI, and the audiovisual effects are great. The only glitch I have found is that when the AI players are bidding against each other, the spoken words lag way behind the on screen text bubbles. Not a big deal, but detracts from the otherwise polished feel of the game. If you like Skat, there aren't many choices out there. Luckily, Skat for iPad is a winner. With a few minor fixes, it will be a champion.
Lots of flexibility with rule variations. AI only sometimes goofs. All in all an excellent purchase for me with many hours and hours of game play.
The rules/how to play (? Button) are in German! So, I have no idea how to play!! Please convert to English!
Sometimes some strange plays. My main complaint (as has already been stated): you need to switch the whole iPad to German to get the game in German. Also, I'd like a choice of voices. Otherwise a good option.
Having played Skat for many years, not always finding a third partner in the US, this is awesome. Yes, there are some minor glitches as commentator number 5 mentioned, but so what. Nothing is perfect and perfect is boring anyways. Ever since I installed this on our iPad, my (Chinese) girlfriend (who beats the sh... Out of me in Skat) and I play this for hours at a time on long distance flights. It is also good practice. The Saxon accent of the mice is very funny. Congratulations, I hope you folks make a lot of money with this.
Skat works good ans smart and has a lot of different options. If there is no friend in your surrounding who plays Skat, this App helps you great. The omly problem: the iPad doesn't offer beer next to the cards...
