Good game not worth 3 $

Fun game to play ever so often

Wouldn’t pay for it

This game has some serious logic flaws. The quests seem to cause the necessary creatures or items NOT to spawn. I had one quest to pick up metal round shields. I had a lot of these spawn in my previous run and figured I could complete this. Not ONE single metal shield spawned during that run. You also run into things too early in the game to be useful. I’ve run into shops before and I had even fought 1 monster. The game logic just seems to not work correctly. I will change my review once the quests are fixed.

Bugs, progression issues

Norsery Rhymes

I like the bones of this game, but there are a lot of issues that take a compelling system and turn it into a frustrating and ultimately boring experience. Gathering money seems either inconsistent or bugged. I never have a chance to afford anything at shops— I could be 8 levels down and only have 20 coins, in spite of multiple money drops from enemies. Something feels off about that, when items hover around 60-90 gold each. Within the game, I signed up to the newsletter to unlock the Voodoo character but nothing happened. Really frustrating!! The road to unlock other characters is waaaaay too long. To get the knight, it looks like I have to finish five objectives— For the first objective, I have to gather 150 skulls. I run into at least 6-8 skulls per run, but I’m fairly certain that some of the skulls I collect aren’t being recorded. Perhaps offer multiple active objectives or lessen the amount of grind required to finish one objective? I don’t think I’d be this frustrated if I didn’t pay 2.99 for this. It’s a fair price for a well made indie game on mobile, and I hope the developer can address these issues that keep it from being such.

Artistically appealing, but room for more.

I’m playing on an iPad so font size isn’t an issue, but it should be addressed for other devices. The art style is pretty cute although some of the sprites could use some definition. The brightness/contrast seems VERY dark and I wouldn’t hate seeing more of what I’m looking at. Since it’s a new game I’ll leave it at that and hope for updates.

Milk is the most dangerous enemy

And the greatest skill to have in this game it to read before tapping.

A little ‘meh’

The idea is a bit original and so I thought I’d take a look. And I really didn’t have a ton of fun with it. Not like I had with Heroes of Loot 2 where I played on end. 1. You move left or right. If I a) move right, then b) move left, now back to a) move right, my expectation would be that I see a). What I see is c). This breaks any sense of immersion. 2). The play screen is small. 3). Very short game. Floor 5, killed the boss! Game over. Game over? It’s good for passing time in a checkout line or when waiting for something. Not really (for me) a game that I need to come back to when I wake up at 3 in the morning.

Classic Fun!

Great turn based RPG Hack & Slash! Superb classic hand drawn pixel art with a great audio track. Well designed for mobile. Lots of surprises. Don’t even think about it- it’s a bargain at this price!

OrangePixel forever!! =D

Yet again, it's an OP game that's quite a bit deeper than it seems at first. There's so many little things to discover and play with (I'd list off some things here, but I don't want to spoil anything for anyone). For a game with two options at any given time, it's a great turn-based roguelike. If you're a fan of the genre, this is most definitely a game you should devote some time to. Wonderful OrangePixel graphics, wonderful OrangePixel gameplay... Can't ask for more. =D

Very fun and surprisingly deep so far

I am a sucker for rogue lite style games, and this one is perfect for fans of the genre on the mobile. To get the small negatives out of the way, I hope the developer can do something about the small font, as it is a bit hard to read on an iPhone 8 screen. Also, I would like some of the item descriptions to be a little more specific as they can be a bit confusing. The two choice system makes this a great game for playing in short bursts. The reward system is good for giving you something to work towards, all while keeping the pressure on you to make good use of what you earn. Once you get on a roll you will start to know when to use certain items and when to save them for later. Again, I really hope the developers continue to improve on the game; with a little polish this could easily be one of my most played games on my phone!

The idea is a bit original and so I thought I’d take a look. And I really didn’t have a ton of fun with it. Not like I had with Heroes of Loot 2 where I played on end. What brought me down was really about mechanics. 1. You move left or right. If I a) move right, then b) move left, now back to a) move right, my expectation would be that I see a). What I see is c). This breaks any sense of immersion. 2. The inventory screen is huge (if in landscape). The play screen is smaller. This tells me that what’s happening during my turn isn’t the biggest focus. Takes me out of the game, too. Portrait, though, shows the entire dungeon screen. 3. I’m not a story fan, but I really don’t know why my character is doing this. There’s a few achievements, but no details in the game over wrap up aside from a couple of words. 4. Graphics are fine, though sometimes tough to discern what object is what object. 5. Lots of sounds that are lifted from HoL2 as-is or with some minor treatment. Just takes me out of the game a bit. It’s good for passing time in a checkout line or when waiting for something. Not really (for me) a game that I need to come back to when I wake up at 3 in the morning.
