I was amazed at how this app worked. Doing an eye exam for the first time on my phone felt weird- but it walked me through every step of the way, and immediately I was receiving text messages from them about the review process and status of my prescription. Once the prescription was written (took a mere 12 hours) I got confirmation my contacts were on the way. Even got a copy of the prescription in email. I’m in love with this - no cost for the eye exam... just buy contacts.

This is a great alternative to a yearly eye exam to get your prescription renewed. I was a bit skeptical, afraid it was “too good to be true” but my contacts came within a week and there were no hidden charges. Obviously you’ll want to get an in-person exam every few years so a doctor can check the health of your eyes (not just renew your prescription) but this app is great for those of us without underlying health issues who just want to be able to get contacts for longer than a year without having to pay for a $150+ exam that we don’t need every single year. I’ll probably go in for an office visit next year but will definitely use this app in between visits for sure. Only issue I had was the calibration of how far you have to stand for the test. My phone made me stand well over 10 feet away (closer to 15) before it would allow me to take the exam, but I’ve got pretty good vision so it was still okay. Love the service and appreciate the reasonable price!

I am one who hates going to the doctor for anything. I put it off as long as I can. It drives me crazy that I have to have a prescription to get contacts. Then when I found this website, I thought “No way! I don’t have to make an appointment and go to the eye doctor? Where have you been for the past 20 years Simple Contacts?” Thank you!!

I dread going to my eye doctor just to spend another a whole lot of money to confirm that my eyesight has remained the same. With simple contacts, I no longer need to take the time off work to go to the doctor or spend that much money! Just follow through the app and in five minutes time, you’re all set with a year’s worth of contacts!

It did take me four days to renew and get my prescription. I had to redo the test multiple times. I guess the app was stuck up on an old order in February that I never completed. Some responses were slow and some were quick. It is cool that they text you. The promo code that I was having problems using did end up being manually entered so I got a box of contacts and a contact prescription renewal for just $52.99. I’ll deal with it taking days to get a prescription because this saved me $75! It also was the weekend for two of the four days and the last day was just a couple quick texts in the morning. I was frustrated but I doubt anyone else is going to experience the error that came about with my account so I’ll still give them 5 stars for saving me money and a trip to see a doctor...especially because I don’t really like doctors! lol
My priority buying contacts is from Simple Contacts!
