Most of the functionalities are implemented just as they are in the real life. It can be used by aviation enthusiasts as well as pilots to perform either an IFR training or just to familiarize the operations of G1000 MFD. This app is capable to connect to another app which simulates the G1000 PFD via wifi connection through which you can have a complete set of G1000 and make them work with FSX, Prepar3D or X-Plane to get the best experience.

WASTE OF MONEY
FlightInstructing101

This app would be ok, but unless you have two ipads and get the PFD app on one this won't move the airplane. I have bought both apps on one iPad and that won't work. The MFD is a waste of money. Plus the directions are horrible and difficult to even find.

MUST HAVE PFD???!
BrianStark88

I don’t have the PFD app. I have a RealSimGear PFD and purchased this to use as the mfd. it won’t work without another iPad running the PFD

Very happy, but…
ruby_uri

Bought the PFD months ago, and so happy with the results, a definetly recommended tool to improve your skills with the G1000, and become a master with thr real system while airborne.. Today I’ve bought the MFD, as I want to improve my skills on it, and also so happy once exploring all its functionalities The only problem I am having is that there is no way to pair both iPads, as despite being connected to the same local network, neither the PFD detects the MFD, nor the way round:( Any clue how to troubleshot that? Thank you!

Needs Cirrus aircraft including Vision Jet
Our Captain

Great app. As a retired Airline Captain I find this app an enjoyable way to get some stick time and practice instrument procedures using X-Plane. Would like to see something a bit more complex than the C-172 and a bit faster on final. Cirrus aircraft including the Vision Jet would be a great addition.

Difficult to use controls
S4Liberty

This is a great app and seems to emulate the G1000 very well, however I find the controls are way to difficult to use. Given that the iPad has a keyboard why not use the keyboard for entering waypoints?? Or at least make the plus and minus buttons when you press the knob should stay up for at least 5 seconds instead of the approx half a second currently. If it used the keyboard for entry it would be a 5 star app. Also agree with previous comment re making available for Cirrus Vision Jet. Would definitely purchase that option.

Looks nice, would like sim support without PFD
kysuther

To enable single iPad usage, it would be a lot nicer to connect the MFD directly to the sim without needing the PFD running as well

Good for training
DANMAN999

I passed the G1000 checkride yesterday in a Cessna 172S NAV III, transitioning from steam gauges. The Simionic simulators were an invaluable tool that I highly recommend to anybody wanting to learn the G1000 to fly an actual aircraft. Every single task the CFI wanted to see me perform I was able to do without any hesitation or problem. Thanks to Simionic for an excellent learning tool!

Terrible FMS Control - You can’t scroll at all
JJCEagle

I got this device to help transition from 30 years of flying steam gauges. Most flight sims don’t include the aux menu so I bought this product to review the cockpit instrument check. The FMS “knob” is so difficult to use it’s almost useless. You need to hit the iPad screen repeatedly just to get the menu to appear, then it disappears before you have a chance to pick your selection. Is there any way to adjust how long the FMS “knob” remains active? If it was user configurable, or if you simply doubled the amount of time the knob was active, MAYBE it would be worth 4+, but as of now, it’s a solid 2.

Good app with horrible connection with PFD app
Numegil

The app itself is great, but the WiFi connection with the PFD is incredibly flaky - I frequently have to spend 5-10 minutes trying to get them to connect, usually mid-flight too.

Very Disappointed
Lunargus

This app is very difficult and frustrating to use, and there is no user guide to help that I can find. You can spend hours spinning your wheels and getting nowhere.
