So I downloaded the app based on a Facebook ad and about a couple seconds later went to reserve a vehicle - no cars available for the time selected. Changed the date - same message. Yeah enterprise is a block away from me and they too have a collection of finer cars. Silvercar can now to deleted.

Too many things to list...one of the worst car rental experiences ever. Don’t waste your time or money. This app is a waste of space on your phone as well.

I had a reservation all set one week in advance. As I was driving, and about 10 minutes away, I received a texted that said to please bring in a utility bill. I was irritated I didn’t receive that info days earlier. When I arrived they wanted a business card from my business and the utility bill, which I provided. When I was trying to check out I was told the system was down and I needed to come back tomorrow, I was leaving early in the AM so that was impossible. So they’re response was just, and I quote” Ya sorry can’t help”! So please read the comments and please realize they have a 2.9 rating for a reason!!!!


Stupid booking system and no alert via 3rd party service

I booked my car via Orbitz without notice of the « special ways of doing business » from this company. There is no counter or office so I had to download the app to get access to the car and discovered they ONLY accept credit cards. While my reservation was already secured, I was late by 50 minutes and without car! I had to take Uber and find a solution the next day. Inacceptable to let customers down like this!!!


Poor customer experience - will not be doing this again

Perfectly nice people. I had to call Support because I was having issues with the application - could not get in touch with customer service as nobody was there to pick my call up. I left message. After a slew of disjointed communications, a silver car driver picked me up about 20 minutes late. His car had an unpleasant smell so I was thankful the weather was nice so I could at least open the windows. I’m still on the way. Feeling very regretful. Not doing this again.


Great cars but app needs work

The cars are great but the app is seriously flawed. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to change a reservation. Also the rental locations are off airport so be prepared to spend extra time getting to and from the location from the terminal. Dulles and Austin locations pick you up in your car/or similar which is nice. Newark location is terrible. You have to take a slow as molasses bus to get to a run down lot to get a worn out car. Avoid Newark. And god forbid don’t make changes and make sure your plane is on time! The app can’t handle it. And sadly the staff are dependent on the app as well.


Unable to rent due to tech probs

Reserved a car in Denver, then needed to see if I could modify it. Spent 4 days trying to log into app/site, with error message “there’s something wrong at our end.” Tech chat said they were working on it, “thanks for your patience.” Phone went to voicemail, calls not returned. Eventually abandoned hope and rented from Hertz.

I’ve never written an app review in my entire life. I tried adding my debit card via web the night before I left for SFO. It gave me no indication it didn’t add. When I arrived I was told they ONLY accept credit cards. AFTER waiting 40 mins outside for the rude pickup driver. Horrible experience overall. Stay away


Least professional

By far the least professional car rental service I’ve ever used. I much prefer Turo or Sixt for traditional car rental. I had a pickup scheduled and confirmed by them for 8pm, however they failed to notify me that they close at 8pm. Therefore I arrived sweaty, with all my baggage and family, and was completely stranded.


Only in about twenty cities
