When I downloaded the game on my iPhone, the game only showed up in a small box in the left hand corner of my screen so, everything was all jumbled up and hard to see. I had to delete it. Disappointing! A Waste of time & money!
This apps looks great for my son, except that there is no sound to hear the words. We turned up the volume to maximum on our iPad.
I have taught reading for many years. Any fun, new way to practice word recognition is a positive. I appreciate being able to repeat a word. I have auditory perception problems and know that many of my students do, as well. And for that same reason, I like that I can mute the song. I don't agree with the labels put on the different levels, but do realize the need for levels. I would much prefer to see level 1, level 2, etc. In one of the later levels I had the words write and right. It marked me wrong when I chose 'write' on the first spoken word. I like how it keeps track of how many words and mistakes were earned. However, the only way to reset this app is to quit the game. There is no way to save a child's score and no way to have more that one player. I agree that it would be best played on an iPad. I have it on my iPhone 4. The words are displayed clearly, but very small for little people. I believe the word "a" should be pronounced as "A," and not the short sound if the letter. I hope this review helps you to improve your app. I would definitely purchase this app for 99 cents again. Thank you for another tool in teaching reading.
A cute app for learning, but the words are not said loud enough. I have very good hearing, and I had to hold our iPad up to my ear in order to hear. Don't even attempt to listen to it with the music on! My first grader needs a little help with reading, and this is cute. Just wish it were louder.
I really like this app, but the volume needs to be adjusted. Also the word "A" is pronounced as a short A sound. Would love to see these issues fixed.
I love this app. It is a lot of fun for my 6 yo. He is learning his sight words while having fun, BUT it needs to be alot louder. It. Is too hard to hear if there is any other background noise going on; which in a house w/ five kids, is all the time.
Just downloaded and it looks pretty good but there is no sound! Just waisted my money.
How are children supposed to get the correct word when the speech is so quick and garbled an adult could not decipher it. I had to repeat the first word 4 times before I could understand it and was still not confident. Waste of money.
