Of course there is no more authoritative English dictionary than the Oxford. The app is pretty good, but maybe not outstanding. Four stars is about right.

It nags me to rate it constantly. Ding - minus one star. Cant change the color scheme so brace yourself if you’re reading in the dark and need to look up a word. I paid $25 for the Shorter OED and the ONLY setting in the app is “Word of the Day”. The content is authoritative but the presentation and very minimal feature set are underwhelming. As an ironic aside the copyright statement in the “About” screen is about what you’d expect; Zero reproduction of any content without prior permission. Ok, then why is there a “Share” button?

I don’t use this app very often and every time I use it it nags me to review it.
Useful, comprehensive; not the most user friendly

Obviously the Oxford English Dictionary is a useful tool to have at your fingertips. However, the app would greatly benefit from some usability updates. Specifically, switching between the app features is difficult - one looses the word/definition they're looking at when doing so which is not helpful.
