Half baked.

Not sure why school district selected this half baked product. Two parents cannot have separate accounts for the same child. Cannot even add more than one email. Cannot even add more than one phone number. So basically, all notifications can only go to one parent’s email address and phone number. Despite paying so much taxes, this is the app they selected for us!
Great interface. But doesn’t run as smoothly as it should

It’s doesn’t even let me sign on my phone, what the heck. So we’re stuck doing assignments on a PC. Which is fine but being able to work via phone is better. We sign in but get a message saying the teacher has to approve our sign in? We contacted the teacher she said that she hasn’t gotten get any notifications on her end about that :/

Yikes...student login, family, random tabs, sloppy cards...this is so horribly scrambled and the only thing that saves the experience from being a total disaster is that it is a such a great example of how not to serve families. The on boarding process should be reviewed. Also read DOET!
Deleting Messages

I wish that I could delete messages when I’m done with them, for cleanliness of the feed... Is there a way to do this that I’m just missing?

I really like this program for what it’s created for, but I wish seesaw would allow for a calender, so future class events could be viewed in one spot. Maybe because of covid and the need for homeschooling and trying to organize everything I really feel this is needed now. Zoom meetings, other events, would just be nice to go to one place to find this information, rather than looking through the messages sections for an update or uploaded pdf, or emails, or google docs.
Activities can’t be found

For such a simple app, the functionality is poor. The kindergarten teacher tells us to retrieve schoolwork from the activities folder; I can’t find one from my iPhone, the brand new iPad, or my laptop. The second grade teacher asked that I add her class to the Seesaw account; that can’t be done without the paper that can’t currently be provided. The code provided only works for entirely new accounts, not for adding a second child to the family account. I appreciate the opportunity for teachers to send pictures and communicate easily if it’s easy for them, but as a parent, the program is a dysfunctional headache.

Seesaw is the best thing I have ever come across as a teacher! It is a safe site, user friendly to adults and children. I am not tech savvy at all and I feel successful using this digital portfolio to keep in touch with my students’s families, assign work to my students, keep track of their learning and so much more! Thank you Seesaw!
