Seeking Alpha, useful tool

The app provides useful alert features when information comes out on the portfolio of stocks I'm tracking. I find it easy to use, fast, and accurate. I go to it on a daily basis.

Good source of informative articles from different points of view, presented in a very nice format which is easy to use. It would be nice if more than 5 equities could be selected, but then the screen might get a little busy. I do notice some overlap with information presented by Yahoo Finance. Overall, a nicely designed app with concisely written articles that are worth reading.

Great content, very poor engineering

Seeking Alpha has the best content I have come across. The research articles written by an uncountable number of independent contributors helps me supplement and confirm my own analyses, and so far it has paid off handsomely. The great advantage of the mobile version is the comfort that you will always be in the know, no matter where you are, and push notifications on major market events but also securities in your watchlist, make that idea work really well. However, the execution of the app is exceptionally poor. The app crashes or freezes often, and suffers from countless UI bugs, including partially occluded list items, issues with scrolling lists, and has severe performance issues. Nevertheless, the great content by far outweighs those issues.

Seeking Alpha gives me the information that I need to manage my existing portfolio as well as research new stocks, mutual funds, and ETF's. I highly recommend it to anyone for keeping up with the latest news about your holdings.

Best finance app

Downgraded to 2 stars. The content is still great but now when clicking a ticker within app it takes you to mobile web instead of the info within the app. Nobody wants to go to browser once we are in app. Completely defeats purpose and has hindered research.

Top stock app

One of the best apps for all stockholders. It's the best for keeping up to date on the market. The original content also is incredible. However, in their most recent update, I've noticed that if you're in an article or news story and click on the ticker symbol, it directs you to the website. This is very inconvenient!! Please fix this

Bugs in new release?

This is my most used app, so I like it! It really helps monitor the market at a glance throughout the day while sitting at work meetings. However when I upgraded it seems the "more data" for stocks doesn't show an accurate day high and low throughout the day. Only seems to get it right when the day is over.

Seeking Alpha has become my new daily and nightly go-to for the latest news on Equities, especially prior to every trade I make. Conversely, I never execute a trade (buy or sell) without first checking with Seeking Alpha, and I do this in spite of me being a Chief Financial Officer, as well as listening to CNBC everyday during trading hours. And the beauty of their iOS app(s) means I can 9and do) check in at any moment of each day on any of my devices, regardless of where I'm at, which was very beneficial for the last 2 weeks while I was on a Mediterranean cruise. The app is slick, easy to use, and very intuitive; so much so, that even my 2 tweens are now starting to use it and learn about equities and trading/investing.
