Unstable

jst220257

When the app is working, it is very useful. Recent upgrades have been especially helpful, but may be contributing to the instability??

Very glitchy lately, Needs major work

Garymaui

I have used the Seeking Alpha App since the beginning. Lately it is buggy, extraordinarily slow to load, and clearly lacks 2020 level technology, navigation, communication and other basic qualities. The portfolio manager is ok, but clumsy. Having read most relevant articles on the site for years, 2 alarming trends are apparent. A minority of authors are top quality equity/business/ financial analysts. This group is gold, and would thrive anywhere, and be an asset to those seeking investment advice. The majority are not. Many are what I would call “shills”, pushing agendas that are very basic, oft times wrong and could be costly to novice investors. Some of the sites frequent posters are blatantly abusive to those against their obvious positions. All in all, needs much improvement.

Email HELL

Soitsme

Don’t in any way allow emails to be sent. You’ll dozens daily without any way to get Alpha yo stop sending them. You try to unsubscribe or change your preferences and all you get is “this site is under construction”. Boo One star. And trash filtering future emails.

App now worse than ever

Ralph_Avery

The app used to be good, and they were making steady improvements. Something happened recently and it went 100% downhill. The interface is huge and unusable, you can’t find anything, suggested articles aren’t relevant, and links don’t take you to the articles anymore. Just hot garbage. I am uninstalling now.

Mediocre, redundant, states the obvious

Imagine if stock XYZ valued at $100 has gone up $20 over the past 10 days. This app would send you a notification title of one of its MANY opinion based articles. The article creator will claim that he/she is now bullish on stock XYZ, after it’s already gained. Well no duh! Another example: you get another notification for another opinion based analysis article on stock ABC and the many ways why it’s a terrible stock and you shouldn’t buy it. Then over the next few days/weeks, stock ABC jumps 20%, 30%, even 50% or more in value. Yesterday I got a notification from a quality finance app (yahoo finance) advising of a tweet from the president that sent stocks falling. The timing was almost literally 10 minutes before the fall. The other stock/finance apps I have were a little late by as much as 30 min. However, THIS app sent me an alert at approximately 2330 saying: Breaking News “President tweet sends market crashing.” Wow, a little late there by about 8.5 hours. Ridiculous! Other apps offer features FOR FREE that this app likely doesn’t offer in its paid version. But I’m just guessing. Why, would I pay for an app that is so lacking in its free version?

Lots of crappy free content

ZeteticAlpha

There is very little editorial control over the quality of the material submitted. Some things are nice, like the free transcripts. This could be so much better than it is.

Great when it works...

Kadamac

Seems like ever since I purchased the premium plan I’ve been having consistent issues with the app not loading. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max

Great app but.....

rpeders

I love this app but there is one thing about it the drives me nuts; I lose the headings when I scroll down in my portfolio or watchlist on my iPhone and iPad. This would seem like an easy fix for the app developers and I don’t know why this hasn’t been fixed because it seems like such a no brainer. Come on app developers fix this issue!

Great App

Stokely Jones

Great robust phone App that gets you where you want to go when you want to go, very consistent

So so

The app doesn’t work without WiFi and the blogs do not show up on the mobile app, keeps saying under construction. A lot of the authors are bad, making ridiculous predictions. It is good for showing basic information and a lot of the comments are entertaining.
