Good start, but…

The product needs to take some of the best features from other products such as iSSH (no longer available), though not VNC or RDP. Of course, the desktop versions of SecureCRT have lots of good features that need to be carried over. 80x25 mode with a keyboard, or allowing 80x50 with transparent keyboards. Portrait mode is also a must. It also should have serial support for console access, and be able to run on an iPhone. iPhones are not the most comfortable terminal device, but when it's all you've got, it can be a lifesaver. Also, how about protecting SSH keys with TouchID on equipped devices? Config sync with iCloud/Dropbox, etc.

Awesome

Been using the VanDyke software for 20 years, these folks know their terminal and ssh emulation. Great addition to the iPad!!

Session Logging

llamanch

The 3 stars are for how it currently works; will increase once I get the Redpark serial cable and utilize that for console access. To get to 5 stars I will need the ability to log the session (as the pc version). Vandyke boys and girls - is that something that is in the works? Can it be added to the list? Or am I just missing a setting the in the 1.1.0 version?

Supports Redpark's serial cable

I do a lot of embedded systems tinkering and connecting to an RS232 serial output comes with the territory. With just a bit of tinkering I converted the Redpark Cisco console cable to be electrically compatible (5v and 3.3v signal levels). Now I don't have to drag out a laptop or computer to connect, my iPhone or iPad works great! Does what I need.

Really good...but one thing

bhicks69

On the PC version, I can select a firewall to tunnel through. If I import my sessions from my PC to my phone, those connections still work. From this version, I'd like to be able to add sessions with firewall support. Also, I'd like to be able to set up logging to something like Dropbox.

A big fan of the Desktop version but ...

Nadaros

... while the desktop version is frequently updated with bug fixes and feature enhancements, this mobile platform is largely ignored by the developer. I have reported bugs directly to the developer which have yet to be addressed. Not surprising though; this app hasn't been updated since the fall of '16. At this point, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Crashes when trying to select text.

Hardknox827

It’s okay for very basic terminal work, but without the ability to select text for copy/paste, it is severely limited. When I hold my finger to the screen to select text, the app just crashes.

Almost Great

I’m a network engineer that is working on switching entirely over to mobile devices for the management of my primarily cisco network. I had the previous version with the bugs for the iPad and it made it was a bit of a pain to get all my different devices added in. Now i find that since I’m going primarily mobile and apple products I want a solution to sync the network devices between my apple devices so I don’t have to program each instance of SecureCRT that I have. Most apps have a sync to iCloud option now. I would like to see this as addition to the next version.

Logging

I guess I just assumed logging would be available like the desktop version. As a field engineer, this is app pretty much useless without it and Get Console just crashes.
