App does not work on new mini

TylerPlague

I have been using SecureCRT for 6 years on my pc. I love the pc version. I was excited to try it on my new iPad mini6. Well the app launches and all I get is a blue screen and that is it. If they fix this I’ll update my review.

Auth screen broken on ios15

:(

Buggy, crashes to the point of worthlessness.

BarkusMasta

Nothing can be done with this app as it insists on crashing on every connection attempt via my iPad Pro.

iPadOS 15 crashes

Supergrrover

Even after update, still crashes on iPadOS latest. iPadOS 15 crashes as soon as you try to connect. iOS won’t even start. iOS 15.0.2 - Will freeze on Auth screen after three attempts required to get past initial frozen blue start screen. (13 Pro Max) iPadOS 15.0.2 will work if you don’t have a keyboard attached. With keyboard attached - you can get past auth screen to connections but as soon as it starts it crashes. If you start it without a keyboard it actually works. As soon as you attach a keyboard while it has a connection app crashes. (2020 iPad Pro 11 and magic keyboard) Please fix - I have used SecureCRT on multiple platforms for over a decade and wouldn’t choose anything else.

A big fan of the Desktop version but ...

Nadaros

... while the desktop version is frequently updated with bug fixes and feature enhancements, this mobile platform is largely ignored by the developer. I have reported bugs directly to the developer which have yet to be addressed. Not surprising though; this app hasn't been updated since the fall of '16. At this point, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Update: With iOS 15, this travesty of an app is completely broken and crashed upon launch. RIP

Serial does not work

kd5jos

I have a serial cable connected to the USB-C port of my iPad Pro. SecureCRT doesn’t see it, so I can’t connect to my terminal servers to work on devices for my job (I’m a Network Security Engineer). This means that I am STILL TETHERED TO A *%$@ LAPTOP. WHY can I NOT use a serial cable with the serial connection in SecureCRT? IT EVEN HAS A CONFIGURATION for it. What the FARK?!?! I bought this SPECIFICALLY because I own the desktop app and IT does the job, why is the iOS App crippled? I even tried a USB-C to Cisco cable. It didn’t work either...

Awesome SSH Client

KC0SHO

I’m a Telecom Engineer and use the windows version to manage around 75 switches. My sessions import to this app and it’s saved my bacon more than once when I needed to check some remotely.

Still does not work with Redpark console cable

18switchfoot

Still does not work with the Redpark L2-RJ45V even after update

Doesn't work

Sartuche

I imported my sessions from my pic and it loads them but I can't connect to any of my Cisco equipment. Complains about a host key algorithm in bad or broken. I can connect to the same device from my PC using SecureCRT so it's not my switch. It's something with SecureCRT.

Not working (updated)

netcase-1

Note: the recent update fixed my "key algorithm" problem. It works now. Doesn't work, see error below: "The client has disconnected from the server. Reason: Hostkey algorithm or bit size is not supported, the hostkey is corrupt, or is otherwise unusable." Tried on several different hosts, so it is a problem with SecureCRT for iPad.
