It was easy to set up and it went very smooth with our family name exchange.

My biggest problem with this is there’s no functionality to give your secret Santa gift ideas. We used drawnames.com last year for free and it did. Of course you can’t see the lack of functionality until you complete the secret Santa name exchange. So we’re stuck using it this year.

The app itself is great! I love how I can choose who doesn’t get who for political reasons in our family! I wish the app was more up front about the $3.99 it costs for more than 6 guests. Most secret Santas will be more than 6 people and it was a little shady to have me do all the work of manually inputting emails and everything just to tell me I have to pay for it when I’m hitting the send button. I paid the fee because I didn’t want to have to do the work over again on a different app. I probably would have paid for it anyway but felt better if it was more obvious that it would cost me money. Anyway, great app in and of itself.

Overall a very good and simple name picker. Love that I can apply unlimited restrictions and also force someone to get a specific pick, if desired. Just wish that two things could be improved for next year: 1. Have the ability to send picks to someone’s text AND email (not just either or). 2. Texts/emails should generate and send automatically without me having to push the send button for each one. I covered the screen with my hand as they were being generated so I couldn’t see, but I don’t want to be able to see who everyone has as the messages are being sent. In most cases, the organizer is a part of the exchange and would also like to be surprised. Overall, did what I needed it to. Four stars for convenience and ease of choosing options.

Only let’s you add 6 guest . You have to pay for more but you don’t find out till you’ve spend the time creating it and adding al the guest .

It states free but won’t prompt the cost until you have gone through the whole process of adding names and contact info. (Over 6 people or SMS) Also, if you choose SMS you will be able to see secret Santa recipient since the message doesn’t go through the app and instead is sent using YOUR number and phone. Shady. Don’t use!
