by the SatFinder for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4(S) and the new iPhone 5.
The SatFinder makes it possible to quickly calibrate any TV satellite
antenna in four easy steps:
1. Set the height and width of the satellite antenna.
2. Choose a TV Satellite.
3. Test if there is a direct line to the satellite.
4. Measure and set the azimuth and elevation.
Ready!
Get SatFinder. It's the easiest way to configure your satellite antenna.
Warning: this app requires GPS, the compass, the accelerometer and the videocamera.
This is why this app will only work on the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4(S) and the new iPhone 5!
The app seems really accurate and spot on it would make dish pointing easy than guessing
Requires antenna dimensions. Information is not available for my dome type antenna. App does not help me at all.
Looking for Dish 1000.2 which it doesn’t have any of the Dish satellites. Doesn’t tell you before you buy it. Not happy. Also, not that easy of an application.
This application looks like it has great potential. It would be great if it included the Direct TV slimline dish as a standard for the US customers. Lots of European antennas but no common North American Antenna as a default. Also I can find no way on Ralf's website to contact him with suggestions or questions. I had to use google translate to read the german webpages, but could find no contact information.UPDATE - newer version has the direct and dish antennas and link for support. This app is the best.
