My only complaint is them having to ask you to leave a review it's annoying and I'm only doing this so the game will stop prompting me to ?

Good game. Addictive. You will spend money to buy diamonds. To move up faster. After several years of play. I have slowly become aware that the top players in the game will always get the big prizes and that it is impossible for any new plays to move to that upper level because the same old names and alliances get the cherry picked prizes that give them the advantage over anyone below them. Also the alliances that are on top of the game have no loyalty to each other. You see the names move from one alliance to another and only those few select alliances get the top prizes week after week. The more you think you are moving up the more they move up. In the last year top prizes used to be gotten by alliances getting 10-15 million war points now it take 25-45 million war points in a 48hr event. It's hard to believe that alliances with 50 people can make 1,000,000 war points per hour. That 333 war points per minute per person for 48 hrs straight. Hard to believe that no cheating is involved. Between the robot players and the cost to be competitive this game will leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

The game is great very addicting but the AI of the Troops could get improved, for example troops will sit and break walls even tho there is an opening right next to them like that just waist time and makes it very frustrating As a veteran player this should have been fixed forever ago PLEASE FIX thank you

It is the most fun game, I’ve ever played on iOS. Been playing for 3 3/4 years so far, almost everyday. In app purchases are useful but not necessary to compete at all. The game has Excellent support and good game play. I really have very few problems with the entire community, even though it is mostly an adult based community. I would recommend some parental discretion with the built in chat.

Not fan of the latest update

Not a fan of the latest update at all. Defensive capabilities have been increased too much. Slows play down and makes it difficult to find players that you have a shot beating. Even easy layouts are problematic. I've seen other games do this and have slowly failed. Please don't follow suit!!!!!!

Critical, long and helpful review below, I recommend you read it all if you are considering playing. I also hope the developers read this entirely as it does need a bit of work. I really do love this game. Be warned: it is CRAZY addictive. Unless you have Demi-god level will power, you WILL spend real money to move up in this game. I’ve been playing for only 2 weeks and have already spent near $500 real money. That’s a bit excessive but since I have it to spend, why not? A few things I love: If you can find a good alliance with friendly helpers and chatters, STAY PUT! You will be rewarded with promotions to Shogun or General quickly. I’ve been playing 2 weeks and I’m already a General. Blowing things up! Hello? Awesome!!! And I’m a woman lol. This game is NOT just for the guys. I have 5 women in my alliance and we love it. The best part of this game is war. It is so much fun to blow stuff up. I recommend all women try this. It is satisfying and dare I say a stress relief so you don’t kill your significant others in RL lol. Building your village. Although I wish there was an easier way to edit than dragging items 1 by 1, it’s still fun to build your village how you want. Personalize it and spell words with your walls if you want. It’s fun to watch your village grow. Free diamonds and other loot. WATCH THE ADS! I’m serious. I know they can be boring and cumbersome but sooooo worth it. In 1 day of watching the ads I got rewarded with 5 Free 7 day carpenters (HUGE BONUS for upgrades), 3 bonus troop groups (HUGE BONUS for wars), and about 1,000 free diamonds. It. Was. Epic. A few things I hate about this game: Upgrade time. Geez it takes FOREVER to upgrade things. On average, 1 item to upgrade takes between 3-11 days, depending on level upgrading to. This is where real money gets spent to buy diamonds so you can speed up the process. Be warned though, speeding up upgrades costs A LOT of diamonds. You can’t search for friends by game name, only by alliance name. So really the only way to find your friends is pray they have their game connected via FB, or ask for their alliance name and search that way. Kinda dumb in my opinion. Cost. It costs an astronomical amount of jade and essence (game currencies) for buying things and upgrading. Why does it have to cost upwards of 250 million jade to upgrade all my walls to level 5? Ridiculous. Hence why warring is mandatory. You need to raid others VERY often (as in daily) so you can steal their money to upgrade your village. Granted, that’s the most fun part of this game but still it can take newbies forever to gather that amount of cash to be able to compete like the big hitters. I also don’t like that the bomb traps and freeze traps don’t auto-reload. Every time you are attacked, you have to remember to reload or they are worthless. DEVELOPERS: Recommendations below for game improvements. 1. Figure out a way to prevent alliance jumpers from collecting the prizes from tourneys. I can’t even tell you how many people will request to join our alliance, play 1 war during a tourney, collect the reward at the end and then leave our alliance. This is rude and not cool because they are only jumping alliances mid-war to collect a higher prize than what was in their original clan. That’s messed up. There has to be a way to either lock alliance jumps during a tourney, or have a window pop up before they jump alliances that says moving alliances mid-tourney will cause you to forfeit 100% rewards.” 2. Make a way for us to search for our friends by their game ID name, not just by alliance name. This is important because MANY players have multiple game accounts (my clan leader has 3 for just him), and unless you know what alliance he’s in, you won’t find him. Ridiculous. 3. Make a more user friendly edit mode. Maybe something where we can click and drag a window around a group of things we want to move and let us do it. One by one is tiresome and takes forever. 4. Have a “legend” or “key” to explain what every single icon is in this game. Newbies don’t understand and even if you click on the icon, it says nothing about what it is. It took me forever to learn the yellow circle was honor and the blue diamond icon was skill points. There’s another blue icon that looks like a Japanese symbol that I still don’t have a clue what it means. 5. Have a “legend” or “key” of where to find things. Clicking multiple times to find what you’re looking for that **might** be under menu vs market vs defense vs army vs decor etc is extremely frustrating. If you can’t make a list of where to find something, then maybe a search function, or better yet, ONE central location for ALL things to edit/upgrade/buy etc. 6. Have a “legend” or “key” to explain how the chat function works and how some people are able to write comments in colors like pink red or blue. I still don’t have a clue how they are able to do this and I’d love to know. I can only write in black font. It’s boring lol. 7. Put a link to Line directly in the game. This way everyone who uses Line (which is A LOT) will better be able to access communications for their clan and/or friends. 8. Expand the alliance view box at the top where the leader types in a description of requirements for joining that alliance. Some of them are EXTREMELY long and run below the border so you can’t read the entire thing. Either expand the box to fit all text, or put a cap on max characters allowed that will fit the window as is. That way players can read the entire thing before deciding to join. They could be missing something important they can’t read/see. 9. Work on game crashes. My game crashes no less than 5 times per day. Very frustrating. 10. Work on broken ad links / rewards earned. Oftentimes I can watch 5-20 ads and spend 30 seconds each but the rewards are either hugely delayed (sometimes show up the next day!) or just simply not at all. This is not fair. Thanks for reading!
