Network req'd!?!!
J24soup

Like the effort, but why in the world do you need to be connected to a network to view an issue once downloaded?

Do I really have to pay twice?
CaptScottso

I have subscribed to the print magazine for many years and now, in order to get it on my iPad, I have to pay more? Are you serious?

Too many shortcomings
Ted in NC

No bookmarks. Klunky, confusing, cluttered "Store" interface. "Send email" to share articles sends only the URL of the 1-page cover. No way to distinguish between issues already read (and then removed from iPad) and issues not yet downloaded. Very unimpressed here.

No free subscription for print subscribers
Come oonnnn

If you are a print subscriber, you don't get free access to this app. Who would pay twice?

Make the digital version free with a paid mag subscription. I want to email your SLC article to my grandchildren who live there. Now I'll have to scan the article and then email it. Get with it and make the on line addition free to paid subscribers!

You may loose….

I agree. Why should a paid subscriber pay to view inline!!! Convenience and customer service is the name of the game… This is a great way to loose loyalty in customers…..

Not what I expected
JimCantrell

As a print subscriber I expected to have access to the digital version for my iPad. Even one of the folks at the subscription services department thought it was included. Not so. And it should be. I will look for other places to spend my subscription budget. You really should get with the times Bonnier.

Only available in portrait mode

I wont recommend this app. Many of the pages in the real magazine are designed to be view as a two page spread. You can't get the view in the app because you can only see one page at a time. It's definitely not optimized for a tablet. I'd stay away from anything by Bonnier until they put a little more effort into presenting their subscribers a good experience.

No print?

Why no digital issues for print subscribers?!?!

subscription verifications
qleo

Every new issue of Sailing World, Wired, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Time, Soundings, Skiing, Powder, Foreign Affairs and others prompts me for subscription verification. It’s reeeeeally annoying and unnecessarily disruptive to have to verify my subscriptions time and time and time again — on the same iPad. So much so that after years of hoping magazine publishers will finally get it together I’ve stopped renewals.
