It’s fun when the app works, which isn’t often. Like all mobile games it can get very pay to win with its cards. The hack and slash game is literally pointless, aka fall of beacon, and for some reason they decided to have a hub of sorts. Which should just be the title screen, otherwise it’s another pointless feature

Yes, you need to spend money to play this game. Yes, the more you spend- the better you will do. It’s free to download, and then all you are really doing after that is gambling. If you want a free game that is not reliant on gacha mechanics- try a MOBA like Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, or Vainglory. Or a battle royale like PubG, or Fortnite. The only thing you will get for complaining about this applications obvious money grabbing mechanics is a cookie cutter response like “we are working on that (oh ok), we added new cards to counter the strong ones (oh so buy more- got it), blah blah blah. We should all be educated enough by now that these companies are much more interested in psychology than creating a well crafted pay-once-and-play model. You download their “game”, you do really well for a bit, and then BAM it gets hard and they tempt you with a price tag. We are all fools for even supporting rackets like this anymore. We should know better.

One of the only mobile games I’ve played for over a year and also trust to not try to milk me for money
It’s fun, but matchmaking is broken after level 5.

The game is a lot of fun, and when you’re matched against a fair opponent it’s challenging. But shortly after level 5 I just stopped being matched against fair opponents. Sometimes I still do, but more often than not, I’m level 5 facing level 7-9 players. These players have cards far more powerful than anything I can use, so unless I can slip in some cheap trick, it’s an unwinnable match. But to be fair, the few matches that are against someone my own level are challenging and fun. Just wish that was the majority of my matches and not the rare exception.

Been playing for a few months now and hit arena 10. Having a blast with it. The games very generous with the gems it gives you a decent amount that you can regularly buy a crate with just free gems like once a week or every other week
