Love/Hate relationship

I'll start with the bad... 1: the voice cues aren't really fixed... Sure you can hear them but barely. The cues used to mute the music and give you the cue and then the music returned. Now it just gives the cue with the music and I can't hear it over my music. I run with without headphones so I can hear cars around me... Mite the music again please! 2: Runkeeper tracks my pace perfectly... This app takes 15-30 seconds and sometimes longer to track my time... Especially on an interval day. The gps somehow needs fixing. Reasons I love this app: 1. It has interval training!! I love this feature. 2. The voice cues are great so you're not constantly trying to watch your phone. 3. I do think it gets you ready for run. I trained for my first half with the app and it got me into perfect condition to reach my goal.

Great training plans - bad interface
RSG33

They've done such a great job making the intelligent training plans, it's sad that it does not have a descent interface. Tip for new users - if you want to add friends, do it before you have workout. Your workouts will bury the ability to add them. Seriously. I could go on.

Had an account but can't log on or recover the password. Tried with a different email, can't even sign up.

Outstanding. Helped me obtain a Boston qualifying time

This app is great for the plan that it provides. With a nice build up and then ample speed work in the main phase allows you to tap into some places you may have not gone before. The way it slowly increases pace, has a nice ramp up to avoid injury and lays out the steelwork second for second was huge for me. I ran a 2:59:35 marathon in Eugene and came in 64th out of around 2,500. 13th in my age group. I will continue using Gipis to achieve my goal of running a 2:45 marathon in 2017

Justo what I needed!

Training plan gone

I was over halfway through my training plan when it wouldn't load my plan anymore and wouldn't log me in. It's so annoying that it's all lost.

Preparing for a second marathon

I'm not really a 'runner' so Gipis helps motivate me to keep on a schedule. I used it to train last year for a race and am doing it again for the same race this year. There is nothing else like this app in a free version that I'm aware of - and no advertising! Kudos to the developers. Glitches I have pointed out in the past through the app's feedback function have been fixed (and I even was notified about them - I'm very impressed with this level of responsiveness!), but I do have to mention some new frustrations... • I like adding comments right after my workouts so it is frustrating that the workout details usually don't get uploaded until hours after I have completed the workout. I don't recall this delay occurring last year. • I don't always do the workouts on the actual days scheduled, so it would be nice if the results were date-stamped and listed in the order done. I have to rely on the other running app I use to figure out what I did when. As a workaround, I manually type the date into the comments, but as mentioned above, that's hard to do when the results don't get posted right away. • Today, the app is seriously malfunctioning - I can't access my workout plan to see what I'm supposed to do or to use the app while doing the workout if I remembered what it was. Therefore, no run this morning. :-( Also, I tried to add a comment to a previous day's run and that is giving me an error message, too, and not allowing me to post anything. I couldn't access the home screen. It did look like I would have been able to do an ad hoc run but that wouldn't give me pacing help. • As someone else mentioned, the calibration seems off. I use the app in tandem with Runkeeper (from which I get audible pace and distance announcements periodically as well as my music) and, for example, for one workout last week Gipis said I did about a 10-minute mile pace and Runkeeper reported it as closer to 11:00. Unfortunately, I think Runkeeper was probably right. Finally, I'd like to second the excellent suggestion made by another user to allow people to manually create workouts. We are not always working toward a particular race, but we might want to run with individual workout goals. That would be great! I hope you can fix today's technical problems soon. Thanks for an overall good app.

Frustrating
ALonis

I really loved this app when I first got it - short easy runs and harder, long-distance runs to improve my pace. However several times when I would open it, the "plan" section would not load any runs. It was just a blank screen. This was frustrating as I am in the middle of training for a marathon. It takes effort to get ready for a long run and then you can't even access the data. Finally I tried logging out and back and now it says I have no account whatsoever. It's disappointing as this was my go to running tool.

My favorite running app!

I've often thought about creating an app to do exactly this - the app is extremely easy to use and perfect for setting goals - I love, love, love it and have recommended it to several others! Thank you for giving me exactly what I wanted! Please don't change too much, I like it just the way it is! Now if only it could tell me to put down that cookie, I'd really have it all. ? Great work, Gipis team!
