Tested with iphone 5s,6s,SE,X and 2 iPad’s none work - called tech support, they suggested using the Android app because this one known problems. WTH?!?! Don’t waste your time.

After trying many times i discovered that the app doesn’t work with icom id-5100 d-star transiver.
Android version is better

The Android version allows other D-Star radios like the ID-5100 and IC-2820 (under the manual setup options).
No 5100 support

Icom has the resources to update this for their 5100 but refuses to do so. Very poor.

This used to work, it worked on my android phone, now that I switch to Apple iPhone it doesn’t work. I have an ID-5100a, I love the radio it would be nice if this worked again!

The icom website shows this as an option for use with the ID5100. It doesn’t work.
What about the support of 705? Are there any plan for that?

Can’t get it to pair

Running it on an iPhone X and can’t get it to pair with my 4100A. Very difficult to find directions to pair and hoping to find a list of apps that might have a conflict with it causing it not to connect.

It is important that consumers see the lack of customer service and support for reviews. The issue in company’s like icom is it is the leadership who is at fault not the rep or worker. Remember in business it is always top down!! Leadership is always at fault and need removal as supervisor or CEO. Great thing is we can always put our money in your competitors revenue and in time you will need to wake up. Terrible leadership and it shows by these reviews!
