iOS12 or later

- ID-4100A/E + Bluetooth unit (UT-137)
- ID-52 *1
- IC-705 *2

*1 Supported in RS-MS1I Ver.1.1.0 or later.
*2 Supported in RS-MS1I Ver.1.2.0 or later.

Preparation
To use the RS-MS1I with a supported transceiver, you need an optional Bluetooth unit. See your transceiver’s instruction manual for details.

Transceiver’s settings
Set the following functions as shown below to use the RS-MS1I.
[Function] > [CI-V] > [CI-V Transceive]: ON
[Bluetooth Set] > [Data Device Set] > [Serial Port Function]: CI-V (Echo back OFF)

Note:
- The RS-MS1I may not work with all iPhones or iPads, even if they are one of the tested devices. This is because an application program on your device may conflict with the RS-MS1I.
- The RS-MS1I may not be used, depending on the OS version, installed application, and so on.
- Bluetooth LE is used for the connection with the transceiver, so there may be a time delay between the transceiver’s operation and the display on the iPhone or iPad.
- When sending or receiving pictures using “FAST mode,” the headset audio will be temporarily interrupted because of the transceiver’s Bluetooth unit limitations.
- You may need to connect to the Internet through a Wireless LAN, a 3G network or an LTE network for some functions.
- The RS-MS1I supports only portrait orientation with the iPhone. It does not support Auto Rotate. However, landscape orientation and Auto Rotate are supported with the iPad.

Useless unless you have a 4100
N9NWS

I was so excited when I saw this software. I spent a lot of money on a 5100. Installed the software and linked my 5100 only to find out that it only works with the 4100. Why doesn't Icom support their older products. I spent extra money to pay for Bluetooth in my 5100 only to find out it doesn't work with IOS. Half of the people in the world use apple devices. Useless.

Wake up ICOM!
k4sid

There is nothing in the description that says only for the ID-4100, After an hour of fighting trying to set this up I found in another rating that someone else took the time to rate it with the same problem, It does not work with the ID-5100. How about adding support for the other Icom radios that have DSTAR capabilities!

Ridiculous that this doesn't work on the ic-5100

No ID-51A Plus 2
Robrovers review

I wish they would update this app to work with the ID-51A Plus 2 ht. They have an Android app for this radio and this app works with the ID-4100 mobile so it’s clearly not Apple limitations holding Icom back.

no support for 5100
oberhammer01

no support for 5100.this app has not been updated in almost a year. Icom please get off your butts. Very very very poor.

5100 not supported? Ridiculous!
RichardofRiverside

The documentation for this app is very lacking. It took me some time to figure out that it would not work with my 5100 model radio. If you were going to make apps that are not compatible with flagship radios like the 5100 just don’t bother at all.

Useless as the company that produced it
L0KEMAN

There is absolutely no reason this app shouldn’t be compatible with the 5100 or 51a... look at the last time this app was updated. It’s sad to see such a promising company fall short of it promises and just outright not support anything it produces and not care what customers want. If you do have the very stripped down 4100 it’s still a garbage app that does too little in a clunky and cumbersome way.
