What’s the point of having a 4k camera if you can’t watch the footage without it being choppy? Extremely annoying.

App is inert at the SSID screen — the iPhone sees the camera, but the camera doesn’t acknowledge the phone. So far the app is useless and actually deserves zero stars.

The only point of this app is so the program can get access to your Wi-Fi network and phone permissions. There is no functional use for this app. Initially seemed like good hardware it’s completely wasted because of the useless software. Just expect to physically take out your SD card if you want to retrieve files.

It really is terrible. I didn’t believe the negative reviews but they were spot on. The video is so laggy you can’t possibly watch it on your smart phone. I guess I really will have to take out the sd card to watch videos. Such a shame that they can’t fix this after years of negative reviews.

Be careful reading some of these reviews. Many older ones aren’t positive. Just got my Rove R2-4K for Christmas. Works GREAT! No issues connecting with iPhone 12 and streaming vid or taking photos. Haven’t been using the app for long but so far, I don’t have any issues with it. Seems to work just fine.

Reading reviews I was ready to not use app at all. Works perfect. Pictures perfect quality. All clips are there automatically. Literally 2 steps. Reviewers Must be idiots.
Wi-fi issue

My i-pad and I-phone 11 pro max will connect to the camera wi-fi but I can only get my i-pad to show the camera feed. My I-phone will not connect to the camera through the rove app. Update I was able to get my iPhone to connect to the camera through the app by deleting the app, restarting the phone and reinstalling the app. Works fine now.

I couldn’t get it to work with my Android note 10+. I have the WiFi connection but the app doesn’t recognize it. I did get it to work with my iPad Pro though. Except it won’t let me download the video. Well it downloads them I just can’t get them from the app to the iPad so I can share them.
