Frustrating

P.Sam320

So I bought this game a month ago and still have yet to finish the whole game. Why you ask... cause it keeps on shutting off or freezing on me in a battle. Please fix this issue?

There are improvements to be made

Hello Koei, I hope you get to read my comments! The first time I played RTK2 was around 1992, the Super Nintendo version basically costed like $100+. It was worth it because I played the game over and over. This iPhone port is nice and mostly faithful to the original. Koei cut out the tedious part of buying weapons, and there is also simplification for domestic government activities. I think that's nice because those were just tedious and I would've not wanted to spend extra time to manage those in a mobile environment. As a passionate player for this game, I do have some suggestions. Would KOEI be at least able to improve Lu Bei's music? Lu Bei's music is missing 2nd half from the original game, and 8 seconds of music is basically repeating over and over.... Please refer to the original version and improve the arrangement music to include it. It's just 8 seconds of repetitive music is not very pleasant. Please, KOEI QA team, play this with 8 second music on and on! You will get crazy soon!!! Quality of localization is not very high. There are phrases like "Would you like to end the turn without doing anything?". But this is a misleading phrase, since the player always gets this message, even if the play has done some activities. KOEI may want to give another round of localization review process..... Also, if retina display support could be added, that's great. There is a lot of text in RTK, so retina display should add a lot of usability. Otherwise, this is an enjoyable game. The price may seem high, but I bought this game in 1992 for SNES for more than $100, I guess KOEI price is still on the higher end, but at least.... it's no longer $100. Good start, but please make improvements as mentioned above, and I will come back with 5 stars.

Needs to remove lots of bugs

Listenman

Please.... there are so many bugs... The game itself is pretty good. However, there is a bug whenever my delegated city's officer tries to attack another city. As soon as the battle ends, it crashes.... Also, it crashes on some random times. Hey, I don't want to personally hand-control ALL of my cities.. when there are like 30 cities that I captured. I want some of my cities to do its own work. So please, fix this bug.

Good, could be better

I've played this game many times over the years and am thrilled to see it ported to the iPod. Please devs, bring back the 'continue' battle the next month and the reinforce option. Without them the game suffers much. Put those in, 5 stars.

Very unsatisfactory game. Does not improve upon first installment.

Been a fan of the series since RTK 2 on SNES. This installation is welcomed. Not much different from the original. For those who have never played it - it is an empire builder with an emphasis on the actors or generals. My only real complaint is that it is too easy - even on expert. If you know which actors to pursue then the game is simple. I am going to try Nobinaga for more of a challenge.

Great Engine Improvements

The first version of this game was terrible, so many problems. However RTK2 is a load of fun and much improved. I only hope it comes out on the iPad!! Fighting seems to be a little easier, the graphics are updated slightly. Also, forming alliances greatly gives you the chance of surviving while picking on your enemies. Allies will also pay you back if you pay them, that AI is pretty sweet. I'm really enjoying this game on my phone, it's fun to carry around and continue later.

Too simple

Rui Wang

1. There could be different type of troops, like archers and cavalries. 1. The duel could be more flexible. The player or PC should be able to call for it anytime during the war. 2. People with high INT can only use fire attack which is not powerful itself, could offer more options. 3. PC is too simple, no threat to the player. 4. Each state could be represented as a real castle, instead of just a block. States could be connected with paths for better view. 5. Only offer three scenarios to start from.

It's original

Just love it, even the software cheated,(it reduced your troop's ability down maybe 20 to 30 per cent) that just make a little bit harder and make you play a little bit longer. Nothing wrong with it. Liubei still is the god in the game, just kill liubei, you win the game. But the in the Pc game, Caocao is stronger than here.
