Unable to use with newer phone

I used this are use this app for months with my iPhone 6 then I upgraded to an iPhone 8+. Now the app doesn’t work at all. I had a dual lapel mic setup which worked fine with my 6, but now when I use the same set up, nothing works. I can get better results with the built in voice memo app.

I’m trying to use this with a Rode NT1, a Behringer mixer and an iPad mini. Amazingly, the app doesn’t even recognize the NT1 as an input, only their I-XY microphone that I do not have. Like others, I finally stumbled into getting this to work with my iPhone 6s after much work on my part. The manual that comes with it has spacing all wrong on the phone and iPad. Rode’s solution, look at the manual on a computer. Duh! The object of having this app is to make us mobile. The support from Rode was poor in trying to get this to work correctly. Very disappointed with the app. You can probably find something better

I don’t know what happened but this app doesn’t work with iPhone X on 11.3.1. It asks for microphone access and when you grant it, initially works fine. When you close the app and go to use it a second time it never sees the built-in mic again. Rendering the app useless. I will be moving on to something with a similar feature set or I will just use GarageBand to have gain controls over my audio recordings.

I wanted to use this with my Rode Nt2A, Tascam 2x2 and USB interface. It only intermittently recognizes the audio input. Don’t waste your money like I did.
Over-rated, un-supported app!

Not as great as most YouTube vids about this app, PLUS there is NO Audiobus support. My musician friends, stay away from this!!

No issues at all on iphone 5s, 6s or iPad. Good quality recordings, and no issue with noise. Needs a better manual.

I bought the well reviewed Rode i-XY but upon realizing I couldn't adjust gain bought the Rode Rec app. Design of the app is dismal. Record button is inactive so I can't record. I have an iPhone 6s. Customer service took almost two weeks to respond to a help request and advised me to make sure I didn't have a phone case on. This is not a good experience. Very disappointed.
