This is Dr. Don Crawford's original Rocket Math—put into an app after 15 years as a paper and pencil math facts program in classrooms around the country. Not just another math facts game, this classroom-tested math facts practice and learning program is scientifically designed to be effective in developing math facts fluency.

Learning objective for Rocket Math: After completing the Rocket Math program in addition the student will be able to quickly answer any addition fact up to 9 + 9 without hesitation or having to stop and think about it. Being able to automatically answer facts without thinking is an important skill needed for success in higher level math. The same learning objective is accomplished by doing the Rocket Math program in the other operations of subtraction, multiplication and division.

3 Seconds Only?
VeegsFM

Nice at first glance. My son initially enjoyed it for a few minutes but then gave up prematurely due to the fixed 3 second time limit. Would be great if a parent could start kids with a wider margin and narrow it as they become more proficient.

Bugs in Subtraction
Wschris

Good app, fun for our 1st grader. Easy to navigate and visually appealing. All the addition levels work fine, but there are bugs in subtraction. The correct answer gets a wrong prompt. It will only accept an addition answer. Ex 8-2 will not accept 6, but will accept 10. Fix that and it's a 5 star.

Missing a few things
Ky girl4444

Good app, goes along with rocket math program at school. Missing a few things, though, such as the ability to re-do a level of they do not pass it at school, and the ability to skip levels they have already passed. Also, the ability to adjust the set time per question would be helpful for younger kids who cannot answer within 3 seconds.

Multiplication missing

Guess I should have researched before buying.. waste of $2.99 for us.

Fix the bugs and it would be great
Pondsux

I like the built in break time. It is buggy though. If my daughter gets one wrong the app won't accept the correct answer right away. So if the answer is 5, she hits 5 and it doesn't appear right away so she hits it again and again and then it appears 555 and then she gets frustrated. The app only has trouble registering wrong answers. The right answer appears right away.

Not User Friendly
Mama33bobs

Seriously! Add an option to change the time length. I have 5 children working with this app on two devices (because you are only allowed three on each device?!?) and I couldn't figure out why they all cringed when I would have them practice. It's the three second aspect that can't be changed. I finally just told them to tell me the answer and I would type it in and I couldn't even beat that darn timer. No wonder. Your design is flawed and you should really think about listening to your users.
