Good App! But needs better watch integration

Coin5

I love the app, my wife wanted to know where I was while I was on my long mountain bike rides in our large local park trials. Easy to use and gives both of us peace of mind while I’m out. I also got the ID badge for my watch incase the worst should occur better than my ID since it list my medication allergies and health issues. Only reason it’s not a 5 Star is the App could use some better integration with the Apple Watch. If my ride goes long the current app tells me on my Apple Watch I have 2 minutes left before my wife is texted my location signaling I need possible help. I then have to stop pull my phone out and add more time, I just wish I could do that on my watch by adding a 10 min + button.

Need Watch App

Mlynn12

Love this App. My entire active family (mostly women) use it to allow each other and husbands know where we are. When I got my new I-watch, the first app I looked for was this one. My new watch has cellular and I wouldn’t have to take my phone. This app is a huge safety net and will take my phone until a watch app is developed.

Works perfectly

Another cyclist told me about this app. I’ve been using it on every ride since and haven’t had any issues. Always notifies my wife when I start and successfully notified her when I stopped for five minutes. (purposely to test the app). As one who rides alone 99% of the time this app works great. Another review mentioned battery drainage. I haven’t experienced any major drainage at all. I ran this app and MapMyRide for two hours and only lost about 5% of my battery which is nothing. Give your significant other peace of mind that you’re ok when riding alone - use this app.

Major bug prevents eCrumb from working via text

MAO NY

Concept is great, but there’s a bug in the app, acknowledged by support team, where sending an alert to desired contact via text fails. The fail is not immediately apparent, as the error message is emailed, rather than an alert within the app. I reported this to the support team and the response was that it’s a known issue, working on a fix, no estimated time to resolve. It essentially renders the app useless in my opinion, and I think users should be advised of this major flaw within the app. I was using the RoadID app to enable friends and family to monitor my whereabouts while running. If I send the link via text but it never gets there it’s really not useful and gives a false sense of security.

Rarely works any more

They that carriers are blocking the texts sent and to send via email. However, email does not work either. This app is completely worthless.

Great...when it works.

The app is wonderful when it works correctly. Lately it has not sent the notification text that I am beginning my run. It will send a completion text but not one before the start of my run. This issue began last week, before that it was working properly. I tried deleting the app and reloading it, but that did not fix the issue. I also don't like that the app will not work unless the privacy setting(Location Service) is set to "always" instead of "while using the app". I would give it 5 stars if these 2 items were fixed.

Love it but....

I have used App for over a year. My family and I love it the past week it only sends a completion and not a start so I can be found? hopefully there is a quick fix soon.

Love this app, but ...

Not sending starting texts at the beginning of an activity make this app useless.

Can't open the app

FarbartheFirst

I upgraded to the latest version of the eCrumb tracker ( which I've recommended the app to everyone cause I loved it and it was great for my wife to keep up with where I was. Now I've gotten the upgrade...not a fan of the new logo BTW...and it will not open. At all. I've tried every trick I know and nothing happens. My wife upgraded hers and it works fine. We both use the iPhone 7. Update: I fixed the issue by deleting the app from my phone and reinstalling it. Totally solved that problem. I’m back to the 5-star rating. Still not big on the new logo....

Piece of junk

I tried using this app for several of my runs, but it was so inconsistent and would not work I had to delete it. I could not get it to start, then when started, frequently I could not get it to update my contacts when I was finished. Today, in the middle of my run, it notified my contacts I had not moved for over 5 minutes. Very bad. Last straw. I’m done.
