Inconvenient

The app doesn’t display my ticket, and has many bugs. I have to beg the bus driver to let me on, because I have money loaded in my card, but the app does not work. Just makes my traveling extremely inconvenient


Keep crashing when you need it

The app just keep crashing when I’m trying to tap it onto the bus. Shut the app from background and reopen still keep flashing and crashes.

This app constantly crashes. The most unreliable transit app I have ever used. So embarrassing/frustrating to be kicked off a bus because the app freezes or crashes when I try to pay. Rhode Island totally failed with this one.


Needs to be fixed ASAP.

Brought the monthly pass now I can’t even use it because the app keeps crashing. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP. Because only reason I buy the pass via app is so I don’t carry cash and if I have to pay. I’d probably be stuck because the app is crashes everytime I open it.

Downloaded this app to take the bus and I created an account and then went to create a card. The app glitched and I wasn’t able to make a card but now the app says that I have a card so I can’t make another. Even though I was never able to make one in the first place. I have no idea how people are able to get anywhere in this state via public transit with an app like this


Delays a lot and crashes

This app worked great for me the first month... ever since then it has been giving me issues! It was slow, it was not connecting on 2 occasions and now it’s actually NOT allowing me to even open the app as it crashes as soon as it begins to open the screen for use. It still has my money on it and I have to continuously annoy the drivers that the app is not working. I have plenty of space on my iPhone, I have no issues with my other apps! This is literally the only one giving me issues as I’ve deleted it and reinstalled to check if the issues would stop but no it did nothing! I’m not paying for rides while my money is on the card! They should allow a method to pay using the same barcode on the actual website since they allow you to sign in to your account but that’s not the case either. That would work great for when these issues are happening so we can still have access to use the money on our accounts. Love the app, just not when I’m getting issues as this one for 1 week now

I use the app almost every day to get to and from work and it’s worked fine for me for months but now the app won’t even open it loads for two seconds and immediately crashes I have $20+ on there that’s completely useless to me Fix your app

This app has a tendency to shut itself off when you select it to pay for fare - I have not been able to use it for the past two weeks because of this issue, and it prevents me from being able to ride the bus because this is usually the only form of payment I have on me. This is not only an inconvenience issue, but it is also an accessibility issue, in that anyone who isn’t able to drive, afford a car, orride-sharing apps needs to be able to safely and smoothly be able to access public transportation. RIPTA, this is a serious issue, and can likely be construed as an ADA violation - please fix the bugs in your app. If you want everyone to switch over to using WAVE, you need to ensure that the app actually works. I should not have to uninstall this app, reinstall it, and sign back in every time I want to use it. What is the point?

Current version doesn’t work

I updated the app this morning and now it doesn’t open. I can’t use it. I can’t pay my bus fare to get to my job. And to top it all off, paper fares are no longer sold by RIPTA. This is the worst possible scenario. You need to issue a card with every wave account automatically as a fall back option when the app is not working—which is GOING to happen and has already happened. I’m stuck waiting for this to get sorted now. I can’t even report this issue to RIPTA because their online form for submitting wave issues requires a Card # which I don’t know because I can’t open the app to look it up. Thanks.
