I love this app because it has an infinite number of songs and allows me to build my own songbook. It is very easy to use and I am very happy with it.

Nice Try

Pete the Pianoman

Riffstation is a great concept however these are some of the worst transcriptions I've ever seen. The chords are oversimplified and often, very often, the chord progressions are completely wrong. Not sure of the source for these transcriptions but they often veer off track during the song after providing a couple of correct chords. This happened in every one of the 8 songs I looked at today. Maybe just poor choices on my part, but more discerning ears and progressions would make this mor valuable as a tool. Try it if you like, it provides at minimum a good starting point for a transcription, but little more.

Outstanding

However, the chord progressions can be wrong when in regards to vocal pieces. Other than that, I could bump it up a couple of stars.

Fantastic

It’s the best!

Takes some time, but worth it

Having or watching someone play the chords & changes while you’re seeing the text, is a little rough at first but pays off

Awesome

I LOVE THIS APP!!! It’s been so beneficial since I started piano lessons and expanded my song selection but didn’t have sheet music for it. This app is a lifesaver and a must have for musicians like me. Highly recommend!!!!??????

Extra chords

Spreadmonkey

Why does this app throw in extra little quarter beat chords that don't fit. Just stick with the chords that are heard in the song. Some of these chords I think are passing tones and the software perceives them as full chords. Fir example if you walk the baseline from a G chord down to an EM then you would play an F# note. I think the softwear hears this note and assigns an Gb chord which really doesn't fit and you don't hear the band makevthus chord change. It's aggravating and confusing to a new student. They don't have the ear yet to know that it doesn't fit and they spend time trying to make these lighting fast full chord changes. Other than that it's a great app.
