Terrible experience

jburro1946

Download and paid for the pro subscription to use that apps full features. Downloaded our ride. Battle the entire 450 Miles. Completely shut down on 3 separate occasions and lost all tracking and mapping. Had to download the trip each time to get mapping.

Keeps logging me out

Capitalismus

This app is getting on my nerves. It’s forcing me to re-login sometimes multiple times per day. Please fix this.

Something missing

The map should stay live, not allow the phone to go dark. Hsven’t figured out hiw yiu can create the ride first.

Not worth it

ScottAndrewRogers

Routes planned online are not accurately displayed on the app. Planned route on the app shows waypoints in incorrect order If phone goes to sleep app does not reliably restart in the same ride. Too easy to inadvertently stop the current ride. Not obvious how to correct. It’s a good idea (I use Strava a lot) but the execution isn’t there.

Not all functions work as advertised

I have used the Rever product both to plan my routes on my PC and to track my routes on my Honda Goldwing through CarPlay. 1. The route planning on the PC works ok, but can sometimes get hung up and corrupted. Only option at that point is to start over. This is frustrating because it usually happens while working with long routes with multiple waypoints. 2. Once the route has been created the application works well transferring it into the correct file type that works on the native Honda Goldwing navigation system. This is a big plus. 3. I have been very frustrated trying to use the unit as a navigation system through CarPlay on the bike. It’s not seamless and I have not been able to get turn by turn directions to work (it crashes the app). Rever has a video on how to use the app with CarPlay, it just doesn’t work using my phone and my bike. I also tried to use it with CarPlay on my wife’s car, same results. It does work without turn by turn directions if you select view route on map instead of turn by turn directions. 4. The app does not track your ride unless you hit record on the phone even when you are using the app for navigation through CarPlay. I rode about 200 miles today using the Rever app to view the pre-programmed route (again no turn by turn) but it did not record the ride. Also no way to go in and add the ride to your list of rides completed after the fact. 5. There is suppose to be a weather function in the app but I can’t get it to work. I know CarPlay does not allow weather radar functionality but I can’t get it to work using the phone. All in all a mixed bag. I don’t know if I will continue to pay for the pro service unless they fix some of the issues. I really like the intent of being able to just plan a route on my PC, save it, and ride the route using CarPlay on my bike. Just wish it worked as advertised. And yes, I realize not everyone needs a motorcycle app to work with CarPlay. I guess you can have too much technology and forget why you are out riding in the first place. Be safe and enjoy the ride!

Exciting Prospects but poor iPad support

jcfiske

What a shame, this app ought not install on an iPad. It is done at iPhone size and doesn’t support landscape. I saw the app demoed and hoped for a great iPad App. No luck.

It’s worth it to buy the pro version

rock purcell

If you’re like me you get confused by all the different apps there are to create routes im 49 and not to teck savvy I really enjoy just pressing the twistte button add putting in where I want to go it’s that simple rock on rubber

abysmal support

Eric "Stumpy Joe" Childs

I really wanted to love this app. I immediately had issues and messaged tech support. They answered promptly with my first question which admittedly was a simple solution. The next email concerned a few specific questions with real-world issues I had experienced. After several days I received a link to a YouTube video that didn't answer any of my questions. I replied with a request for answers to the questions I had asked. I never did receive a reply. I then requested a refund and received it VERY promptly. Too bad they didn't offer tech support as easily as they did a refund.

Can’t use it

Brian reviewed this

Can’t even try it without giving personal information. Can’t sign in using Sign in with Apple (privacy). Update: the reply says they added Sign in with Apple. I see a button now but tapping it does nothing. All I want to do is browse a map to discover riding areas.

Use calimoto

mfreethy

I tried this app because of the many positive reviews, but not impressed. I had calimoto before this app and would prefer calimoto. It allows up to free 120 miles of random round trips, but generates over 120+ mile round trips. Much better app. The rides usually last me 3+ hours.
