I check this app 2-3 times a day, usually in the morning and evening. You can choose from a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 min newscast; I often go with the 30. Most stories are no longer than 2 min, and you can skip around through them if you’d like. There’s also a separate tab for live coverage, such as press conferences, ceremonies and rescue operations; it’s all archived if you want to watch something again. Reuters has a great multimedia team that contributes to this app; I always especially look forward to Andy Sullivan’s incisive U.S. politics videos and Conway Gittens’s quick analyses of global market trends. I’m always telling friends and family about this app and how great it is. For timely world and U.S. news it’s tough to beat, and the customization feature is unmatched. Highest possible recommendation.

I like Reuters’ to-the-point reporting. My time isn’t wasted with celebrity hype and teasers. I feel we should hear news stories from multiple angles not a single source in our own country. That increases understanding and empathy and fights the polarization some politicians are using to divide and conquer any opposition coalitions.

Only relevant facts dealing with the top stories from across the globe. Also the best investigative reporting outside the beltway. This type of journalism and the service performed is always in the general public best interests as the value of such fact finding especially in today’s day and age (of pre rehearsed sound bites repeated every hour on the hour that’s broadcast on all opinion and no fact propaganda cable news) cannot be overstated

This app gives me the essentials in a few minutes without getting sucked in or bogged down for hours. It's the opposite of social media. It lets me get on to other things and focus on what's important to me.
Why pay for Ads?

I have liked the Reuter’s News Service App and am happy to pay the $1.99 per month, but now they have added commercials to it and I’m thinking of cancelling the Service. A paid subscription should allow us to receive the news commercial free, because it’s not like a newspaper where you can ignore the ad, instead its played instead of actual news and you have no choice.

Reuters TV knows how to present news without unnecessary fluff. This is news done right and it’s a great way to keep in touch on top relevant news without overloaded content.
