Great then HUGE disappointment

DJ Rizzo

I loved episodes 1 thru 3; that's why I can't believe episode 4 came from the same developers. Seriously, it's that bad. The disappointment I feel about this new episode reminds me of how disappointed I was when I saw Star Wars The Phantom Menace. There is even a character called "the gardener" who is only slightly less annoying than Jar-Jar Binks. Beyond the tech glitches that were not there in episodes 1-3, episode 4 is just flat out horrible and completely inconsistent with the logical story presented in episodes 1-3; I mean, the entire game has suddenly switched genres to become a lame horror movie with a rainy graveyard and mentally disturbed man. I listened to all the dev commentary in first 3, and I can't believe these same people thought this was a good idea. I bought the season pass after episode 1; but this new episode is so far removed from the intelligence & political underpinnings of the first 3, I seriously doubt I'll be finishing it let alone using the bandwidth to download episode 5. ORIGINAL REVIEW: No pun intended, but this game is a game changer. If you're not familiar with this game, I recommend reading the reviews for "all versions". This review is specifically for the new version. After finishing episode one sometime ago, I left it on my iPad waiting for that fateful day when an update to include episode two would arrive. I was thrilled when it did. Do note that you still have to purchase the season pass to get the second episode (the cost will include future episodes, too), and then there is another download within the game itself. For some reason, my previously saved two games did not properly show me completing episode one. So I decided to play it again. It's been a while, but I'm noticing graphical elements in the game environment that I didn't remember seeing there before. Additionally, it now includes a map which is a big help in navigating the game. Especially when your goal is to reach a particular destination. I just now completed episode one again, and I'm eagerly looking forward to starting episode two.

Nicely done!

Sidearm Sally

More, more, more. An amazing feat no doubt! What’s next?

Amazing!

NoMeRcY1997

It is one of the best gameplay experiences you can have on a phone. As other people have said though, your game save might get erased and you’ll have to start from scratch. Caused me to delete this game which is a shame because it’s excellent. But I’m about to get back in it and start playing from the beginning again and I know I’ll begin to love this game all over again

Buyer Beware

Live Wire 2

Chapter 3 and 5 never fully download, don’t buy season pass

Needs update

Dubs1

To fix some stability issues and Game Center achievements that don’t work. Also, with better apple hardware available an update could improve graphics to better resemble pc version.

Needs controller support

whig4life

Apple TV and controller support would rejuvenate this once great game

Worth your money!!

Strong start...

The first 3 episodes are solid, and the concept is great. However, the camera view becomes a liability with barely mediocre “God’s Acre” chapter. Slight improvement with next chapter. Still worth playing overall, but the underwhelming end detracts a bit from the enjoyment.
