What a pleasant surprise! Excellent programme!

I'm using this programme to view all the files (videos, photos, mp3s etc) in my NAS (network attached storage) through the SAMBA protocol (SMB). This nifty little app does what other applications just advertise to do, and it does so with the utmost aplomb. It's a quick and no-frills piece of software, and, on top of that, is completely free! No nagging to buy features! This programme is recommend wholeheartedly, with no reservations whatsoever! Thanks for the effort! Best wishes, Edson.

The music player can play just one song in one time ? Also open-in doesn't work for mp3 files so i can't get the file to another app ? Please fix these bugs

Super

Simple and direct. Nothing fancy but it works good as a FTP client.

Excellent viewer

Simple yet effective file share player. I can play video file on my ipad that are stored on my home network drive. My Iomega media network's own doesn't work, but this app does with very little configuration.

No good for FTP

fl_aligator

Tried to use it as FTP client - does not connect anywhere unless server found via scan. Crashed on iPhone 5 iOS 6 after going into a folder for that one server I was able to connect. Removed from my phone!

Does not work well with video

feitelberg

When playing video from a network drive the video and audio do not remain in sync. I know the file is good because it plays correctly with other remote file viewers. Hope they fix this problem soon.

It does what it says

This app is simple and does what it's supposed to without anything fancy getting in the way. There are a couple of bugs, I've encountered crashes after exiting frim viewing images larger than 300kb, and the interface could use an imprivement aestetically. Other than that, this is a good example of a lightweight application that can actually do something, opposed to fancy overproduced, overhyped applications that are extremely limited and inflexible.

No good

1: TIOD's user interface is bad. The main screen has 4 tiny buttons that wouldn't even fill up an iPhone display. Then the SMB address entry box is even smaller. 2: It just doesn't work, always returns a generic "could not connect" error message. Any server address, VPN or local WiFi, bare URL, smb:// prefixed, or Windows-style with backslashes. I now use File Explorer Free, which connected successfully on the first try.
