RedEye mini

PLEASE NOTE: While you can use the built in television program guide on its own, in order to control your home theater, you will need RedEye hardware (a separate purchase). RedEye mini sends out the infrared signals necessary to control your home theater and other equipment.

Along with RedEye mini, this application turns your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad into a universal remote control, complete with an extensive infrared device code database and television program guide at no extra charge.

This RedEye mini application is a simplified version of the full RedEye application. This version is small enough to download over the cellular network and streamlines the setup process. Customers looking for an activity-based remote with sophisticated macro handling and advanced button customization should download the (free) full version of the RedEye application, which is also available through iTunes.

This version works only with RedEye mini hardware. Owners of networked RedEye products should use the full RedEye version.

Not work it

This app is garbage, it crashes constantly and setup is a pain considering I can get through it without it crashing and then i have to start all over

Doesn't work

The app crashes and freezes

Nice idea - not so good execution

The RedEye Mini is a small dongle that fits into the headphone jack; the dongles can be found in various places for under $20. There is an associated free RedEye Mini app (iPhone and iPad). The idea is that the app will power the dongle, turning your iPhone/iPad into an universal remote. All of this is a very nice idea - however, the app does not work well. The largest problem is the constant crashes, which seems to erase any progress made in programming the device/app. Setup could be much simpler - ThinkFlood needs to add an option to enter the device manufacturer/model and have the app function properly. PROS: device and associated app costs are low/free respectively. CONS: Constant crashes, tedious programming. I'm giving it 2 stars based on its potential vice its current performance.

I never write reviews but man this app crashes the second I plug the dongle into headphone jack thus making device plus app utterly useless 

Application crashes every time, doesn't even give me time to go into setup before it crashing. Out some cash, will put RedEye mini in a dusty drawer, maybe some day the software/app will be fixed.

Terribly buggy app

This really shows promise, but it's too awkward to use regularly.

Please update and fix these bugs!!!

This app crashes far too often! I can't seem to play with the app longer than 2 minutes. It freezes, loses connection with the receiver, stops suddenly, and sticks repeatedly. Update this app!!! I'm out $30 bucks. Thanks

STUPID App!

What a piece of stinkin crap, to the guys that made this, screw you. You should be ashamed of yourselves to put such a bad product out for sale. We work hard for the money we make, just to spend it on some piece of crap that comes in a fancy box. Again screw you.
