Frozen in airplane mode?

Jonggggg

I've been playing this quite often for about a year. Much fun. Last month or so I noticed that when in airplane mode and no wifi the app completely freezers. Solution?

Fun but eats battery

Gearloose2013

Enjoyable because I can usually beat it, though with enough challenge. Does eat battery alive though.

Stellar time-waster

A chess game that's actually fun. The AI isn't very smart, but neither am I (when it comes to chess, anyway), but that really doesn't matter here. It's actually helping me learn how to look at the whole board. I've purchased multiple copies for multiple devices, and the game is currently my go-to 5-minute time-passer. One enhancement request - plz make it possible to re-play a game in free play mode...especially when I lose. I've lost on level 10 or 12 more times than I care to admit, and when I do, I'd like to take another crack at it. Oh, and there's one minor bug: when I make a move that results in a stalemate, the game tells me that I've won.

I wish I could upload photos to show my frustration

This is a great concept for a game. However, I refused to play a game that's forcing me to surrender by having no choice but to quit. I'm playing free play rank 48...I was convinced I was going to win until one of the queen has my king in a loop to the point that those are the only pieces that can move. For that reason only I will be deleting this.

Good but...

I have begun experiencing crashes and freezes. I'm using the latest beta of iOS and suspect there is some incompatibility. This is the only app I am experiencing these kinds of issues with. I hope an update that addresses these issues is coming out soon. It's a fun game otherwise.

Held Back by AI

UncouthJoker

The opponent starting positions are always pro AI. I understand the game isn't meant to be balanced but that doesn't mean openly unfair to the player. The balance needs to swing back the other direction for true replay value. Also, you constantly get one move away before the AI destroys your board. That's not fun, it's frustrating. Also, this game freezes quite a bit. You'd think a chess app wouldn't require that much power but it constantly freezes multiple times per game.

Bad?

SilkyBrown

Game will not draw even in an instance of insufficient material. This teaches people learning chess to resign in a situation where their opponent can't win. This makes it a very bad teaching tool possibly the worst in the App Store.

This should be five stars, but..

How are we supposed to save progress or move to new devices? Can we sync to Game Center? Or authenticate somehow? Give us some way to prevent starting over every time we change hardware. Thanks!

Wish i could enjoy

1) its freezes up constantly. 2) the A.I. doesn't play with the same rules as you. Their King can take any pieces near it but yours cant. Meaning its very easy for the A.I. To checkmate you by moving a queen on top of you
